That is very true. Beauty and the Beast took a while to be made, since the story was too dark to make it kid-friendly. Soon after Walter Disney died, they came across the plot of how to remake Beauty and the Beast (or something along the lines of that), and managed to make it into a kid-friendly movie. I believe they are planning on doing another version of Beauty and the Beast, which is most likely going to be darker than the animated film they made years ago. Correct me if I am wrong on any of this.

I hope they do more remakes of their animated films in the future. It would be very interesting to see how they will make it. (I have yet to read the original fairy tails. o:)

Sorry....

No, you're right. They are making a live-action Beauty and the Beast. Emma Watson's Belle, Dan Stevens (I think) is Beast, Luke Evans is Gaston, and Josh Gad is Le Fou. That's what I've read, anyways. I was actually interested, thinking and hoping it might be like Cinderella, but that diminished when I found out what Emma Watson is from. :/

I'm on the same boat as Julie. With a family of five, it costs about $60 to go to the theaters, so we only go one, maybe twice a year. (We've already gone once so far for Mockingjay Part 1).

No need to apologize. It isn't your fault.

What she's from? She isn't from anything, she's a live person, not a character. And what would her previous roles have to do with her appearance in this movie? Just because an actor or actress is in a certain kind of film doesn't mean that they can't appear well in something vastly different.

Okay! Sorry! I didn't mean it like that! I just meant, I was thinking it might be dark like the previous ones because she's been in the Harry Potter movies, and Labatis only confirmed it.

Again, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Until about halfway through the series Harry Potter wasn't really dark at all, and just because she was in it doesn't mean she's only going to be cast for similar roles. It may very well be dark like the others, but the evidence suggesting so is the fact that the other reboots have been dark, not who has been cast. After all, Johnny Depp made an excellent Willy Wonka and a splendid Sweeney Todd.

She's an actress, her job is to play a wide variety of roles.

Like anthony hopkins. He has played romantic dramas to hannibal lecter (silence of the lambs, not a movie for the faint of heart) to being a friend of thor in the marvel movies.

This is very true. It's true that there are actors/actresses who prefer to play a certain type of roles, but, so far, that hasn't been Emma Watson's case. :/

Jamie Dornan entered OUAT and now he's in an R-Rated movie. People simply adjust themselves to various roles. That's their job, after all.

Or like liam neeson. From training batman to voicing aslan.

Though these days he stars in too many forgettable action movies.
