I really should see that new movie of Alice in Wonderland.
*thinks back to any dark scenes in Maleficent*

Hmm, I suppose you're right, Elsa. There were a some darker scenes in Maleficent. When I decide to watch Alice in Wonderland, I am sure I can agree that there are a couple of dark scenes in there as well.

Do you like what Disney is doing? Creating realistic and longer versions of animated films they made in the past?

I don't know. The only one I've been able to watch is Mirror Mirror (the readaptation of Snow White), so I can't say for sure. But I think I'll always like the classics more, especially if they continue this sequence of making them dark. :/

Oh yeah! I forgot about Mirror Mirror.

I sort of like what they are doing, considering it is similar to OUAT. Sure, some dark scenes are unnecessary, but I think they are doing this so more adults will be interested in their films.

Yeah, I suppose so. And they now designed OUAT Maleficent as in the movie. Ah, I see.

Yep.

I don't think Maleficent should have had blonde hair in OUAT though. It seems like black hair would fit her more.

Well, the original fairy tales were very dark, and I personally like that Disney is apparently adding darkness back to them (though I didn't see anything I'd have considered that dark in Alice in Wonderland, to my memory).

To an extent, yes. But they were cartoon,so it was a little different. Maleficent, Into the Woods (that's the one I forgot about), and Alice in Wonderland all look too dark for my liking. :gasp: Honestly, it's a wonder that I even watch OUAT, because that one can be dark at times, too.

Huh? The original fairy tales were written long before cartoons were a thing. I've read a few of them, and there's quite a lot of death and dismemberment, they are extremely dark, and for a good reason. They were used to teach children to be careful in a dangerous and scary time. The animated Disney versions changed quite a lot to make them less dark and more family friendly.

:dramaqueen: Sorry. Misread that. I thought you meant the Disney classics. :P My bad. But yeah. I know. That's a lot like Frozen. It's the reason why it took them 70 years to come up with an idea for the movie. :P
