Starry Night Chapter Two: Stars Show the Way

[Ushujaa]

As Ushujaa leaned over, he was shocked at what he saw in the pool... at first he only saw his reflection, then something strange happened... The reflection of the stars started to move, they formed into the shape of a lion in the sky, it motioned him to come closer “I can't believe what I'm seeing, Nala take a look at this!”

“It's no use Ushujaa, he's gone and there's nothing anybody can do to bring him back to me...” Nala was too depressed to even get up,

“Fine if you don't want to come I'll go see what he wants...”

“You go ahead, I'll wait here...” Nala sighed

So Ushujaa made his way up the hill He looked up at the lion,

The lion looked down upon ushujaa and smiled...“Ushujaa, You must lead Her...”

“Lead her where?” He called up to the stars

“ You must find Simba and Return with him to Pride rock so he can take his place in the Circle of Life...” the lion called out with a echoing voice

“How do you know my name! who are you?” Ushujaa pleaded for answers

“My name is unimportant,I am a king of the past and I will always watch over you!”

“Who is this Simba I've heard much about him...”

There was a long silence within the clouds the only thing that could be heard was the wind...“He is, your brother... and the rightful king of pride rock... He must remember who he truly is!”

“If he's my brother then that makes you... Dad?” Ushujaa had realized the whole time he was talking to his father...

The king of the past laughed as he disappeared into the night sky

“Wait where is Simba? I need to know if I'm going to find him... Father?” Ushujaa looked into the night sky only to see one star lit brighter then all the rest, “Well at least he is good at giving directions...”

Ushujaa then returned to Nala still weeping at the pool of water... “Nala... I know you're upset right now but I need you to follow me okay?” Ushujaa tried to cheer her up...

“Well where are we going?” Depressingly nala asked

“I'll tell you when we get there...” Ushujaa ran ahead of nala she was following him far behind as he stayed to the path of the aura radiating star....

Another enjoyable chapter you've written here Dean. ^^ I like the throw backs to the movie plots of TLK and it seems the plot itself is starting to thicken too, which is nice. Well, those lines do work to break up the text a bit but I don't think the [indent] tag works on this forum, so I typically don't bother indenting, but instead, I just use a double space between each paragraph.

As always though, I'm looking forward to chapter three. A future suggestion though, if you do post more stories here on MLK. It's easier to keep your story confined to one thread, that way, your reader wont' have to jump from thread to thread to follow along. Since you stated that this story was only going to be about six chapters or so, I don't see this being a major problem, but just keep that in mind for future use. ^^ You might want to provide links to your various chapter threads in the prologue thread, just to make things easier for people but it's up to you. Keep up the marvelous work my friend.

I had no idea about your character when i started writing these stories, man i was really hoping it was an original idea because i went to a swahili website to translate courage and hero into Ushujaa and Shuja... i apologize again for the mix up and really i didn't mean steal you're character although it seems very hard to believe i'm sure, I'd definitly like to see some work you've done with your shujaa and i really hope we can be friends.
