There's the part that says yes because JEJ did lend his voice for the one line in SP that he had (plus a few more that were cut). However, there is also the whole point of The Lion Guard being even after SP, so Mufasa being around, even in ghost form outside of a minor cameo, is I would think rather unlikely. It is far more likely that they will use someone else if they will need to voice Mufasa.

Speaking of Mufasas spirit, lets take our attention to this part of the picture and start asking who are these kings in the sky with Kion? what does it symbolize? what could it mean? and what could we expect from it?

I don't think that they would ever recast Mufasa. we are all assuming that Mufasa will be a spirit in The Lion Guard, but there could be a flashback episode to when Mufasa was alive and he could have more than just a cameo.

These could either be other Great Kings of the past like you said, or perhaps they are previous leaders of previous Lion Guards. and they are roaring along with Kion because they approve of his new ideas.
Perhaps these Lion Spirits are lending Kion their strength to help him face whatever challenge he is up against
This could be how Kion calls The Lion Guard to assemble.
This could also just be concept art and have nothing to do with the series.

What exceptions can you point out? Do you mean for example, like they can choose to believe an imaginary character is "real" to them if they want to?

Like I said, I'm not against people having an imagination for an imaginary person in this case. People choose what they want to believe or see as real to them in their life, just like I see Timon as a friend to me. "Fictional" doesn't automatically mean that something is fake which I find is a common misconception.

So I don't think someone seeing Kion as "real" to them means it's the end of the world at all. It just means that they see this differently (just like some do about Santa Claus) and I think this really also depends on the context of the character as well. So I'm sorry if any of my statements sounded dramatic or not very clear in any way.

But I just won't agree that a 5 year old is capable of knowing everything between reality and imagination is all I'm saying, because of my own experiences.

I honestly think we've started confusing things here.

Nothing depends on age, IMO. Everyone is different. Some children are capable of distinguishing many fictional things from reality and some don't. My cousin, for example, is just 5 years old, but, due to a "rough start in life" with his mother, he's far more mature than a few kids I know and, due to what he was taught, he enjoys knowing it's not real.

What I mean here is simply that I don't think it's 100% "correct" for parents to incentive their children into truly believing that badgers are blue or lions are pink, because that is not true. You may let a child think that a lion is pink, but, once he sees one, you shouldn't keep saying it is. This doesn't "erase" imagination. Anyone can know that a badger isn't blue and, for example, still create a badger OC that is blue.

I don't think they resemble previous lion guards because there was nothing about a lion guard in any of the movies, this lion guard thing is something new in the TLK world. To me I just see the as the great kings of the past....question is who are they? Mufasa?.....Scar?....maybe Zira? dougt that though but there is 4 of them? who are these 4 lion angles. what is the history behind these males? talk about a mystery ......:I mean what about these guys? ghost:

Those four you posted smilies of are, like Kopa, semicanon, and they are sure to not be used. I highly doubt Zira and Scar would be up there, and seeing as how all of those lions have manes, it is safe to say Zira isn't up there. We also have no idea whether or not they are angels, if anything, I'd say they're all kings of the past, like you originally theorized.

Although I do think that they likely are a few of the Great Kings of the past, I do believe that there is a possibility for them to actually be previous leaders of The Lion Guard. I support this theory because you can't really tell if Mufasa is there or not, and, since he's the most know "great king of the past" to anyone who saw The Lion King, we should be able to distinguish him from the others.

I think I'm going for more of the idea that it's probably a combination of the Great Kings of the Past as well as the previous Lion Guards. Mufasa addressed back in the first movie that "The Great Kings of the Past look down on us from those stars." The kings are seen as the representation of the stars during the night, yet the previous kings can appear during the daytime since we did see Mufasa watching from above when Kiara was being presented. It would be cool if it was a mix of both the kings and the guards.

Well the great kings of the past can take many forms from the starts to spiritual wind, to cloud forum, all I saying is we know they will present them in some way, which sounds exciting, I'm mean this is part of the TLK religion:D
