That one wasn't horrible! In my opinion, it was MUCH better than the book itself. But, then again, I'm a fan of the books. I found the movie to be a huge emotional rollercoaster ride. But, whatever you want to think is fine by me. In my opinion, what was really horrible was the twenty-minute previews before the movie actually started. That was annoying.

Well, they say it's too negative on America. Basically, they want to put a religious and patriotic spin on the history. They want to include the ten commandments and Ronald Reagans and George W Bush's speeches as "foundational" documents of the US. It is quite silly since they want to put less emphasis on the oppression of African Americans and Native Americans, and more on the achievements of the republican party. It's an attempt to politicize education and when they didnt get their way, they voted to ban it. It is stupid.
