[And no, I don't act like Kapuki does. I'm not as unsympathetic as she is.]

"Good. But I don't appreciate you running away just because we're not some super happy family," Kapuki said coldly. "You caused my sister emotional turmoil when you did that."

Alitash: .....I know.....I didn't mean too........I don't want this pride to be perfect........I just.......I just want everyone to get along........everyone hates each other.......it breaks my heart knowing that we're all the closest "friends" we have......but we wouldn't care if one of us died........

"And what makes you think that?" Kapuki said, genuinely a bit surprised. "Of course we would care. Just because we don't gush over one another doesn't mean we don't have each other's backs. And we don't hate each other, Alitash... We might not be a perfectly happy pride, but we certainly don't hate each other. We might not be the best of friends, but we look out for one another. And to me, that's more than I can ask for. But my concern is Shujaa," she went on. "I don't approve of your relationship with her. But I suppose if you treat her nicely... I'll tolerate you."

"No. Because that would cost me my sister's happiness," Kapuki said. "And I don't want to do that."
