Taka growled quietly and looked down. "You can't believe it? Maybe if you paid attention to what was going on around you, maybe you'd believe how I don't bother to shed a tear." Taka murmured quietly. "Mufasa was a good king, but was he anything else to me? He was my uncle by blood but he neglected me as my father did. I wasn't important enough to address. Simba neglected me when you two had so much fun on your silly adventures. Now I'm being ignored and hated by everyone because of my father's cruel rule..." Taka said darkly as he glared at Nala.

"Do you want to know why I don't shed a tear? I don't have any left." Taka said quietly as he looked away from Nala.

"All I wanted to do was try to make you enjoy life a bit. If you want to spend it mourning over Simba, and neglect me again...fine." Taka said as he began to walk away from Nala. He needed to go to the only place he couldn't possibly be looked down upon.

Taka's words left Nala reeling; in a few simple sentences, he'd shot Nala's outburst to dust, and completely broke down the reason she was crying. Somehow, he'd twisted the tables against her - and her heart deflated with guilt.
"Wait! Taka! Please, please don't go." She ran in front of him, blocking his path. The tears had been stunted - the crusty tear marks were wiped off by a paw. "I'm so, so, so sorry Taka... Simba and I never meant to neglect you. Honest, we didn't. And... and... not everybody hates you. My mother, she feels sorry for you - sometimes she feels like taking care of you, but she's too scared that Scar might say something. And Sarabi doesn't hate you at all, she knows it's not your fault. I'm so sorry, Taka, you deserve so much more attention that you get."
All this babble poured out in a rush, leaving the young, creamy-coloured lioness panting. She held Taka's gaze - if he tried to walk away, she'd pin him down as easily as she did Simba.

Taka closed his eyes for a moment and sighed. She finally knew what she had done, and Taka didn't expect her to do this. He expected her to just sit there and cry over Simba some more. The fact that she showed remorse made him feel alot better about his situation in life. "Thank you. That means alot." Taka said quietly with a small smile. He took her apology to heart and decided to stay. Trying to put this behind them, Taka began to think of ideas of something to do that wouldn't offend Nala as much.

"Want to explore the outlands a bit? No threat of Hyenas attacking us you know." Taka offered, hoping that at least the excitement of adventure, and natural curiosity Nala had would drive her to agree.

Nala wasn't particuarly interested in the barren, half-dead wasteland beyond the Pridelands, but she was walking on eggshells with Taka - relieved that he had accepted her apology, she grinned.
"Sure. And yeah, no hyenas, I suppose that's a positive." She flicked her tail forward, letting Taka lead the way.

Taka lead the way towards those barren dead lands, and smiled as he took in the sights. This is where he went to escape all the negativity he went around. Sometimes he would pretend he ruled over the termites, and ended the lives of the termites that went out of line. Taka entered one of the old dug out termite mounds, and lead Nala inside it.

"This place is beautiful when the moon comes out." Taka commented quietly. As quiet as he was, his voice echoed throughout the den and his eyes glowed as he looked over at Nala. He knew this wasn't the best place to take a girl if she was feeling upset, but he only knew somewhere he'd go. Then a really stupid thought struck his mind. Why didn't he just ask her where she wanted to go instead of being a self centered fool and taking her somewhere he wanted to go?

"Oh...I'm...Not so bright." Taka murmured scratching his head. "Sorry to have brought you here. I should've asked you where you wanted to go."

Suddenly a shadow appeared.
Need any touristic guide? - Danganya said with a mocking tone.

Nala actually didn't mind this place - she hadn't expected it to be so interesting. It was obvious this place was close to Taka's heart, the way he walked through the termite mounds.
She was about to respond to his question, reassuring him that she quite liked this place, when a voice cut through their conversation.
The adolescent female's brain instantly clicked in fight-mode. She acted cool; stepping back from the mysterious Lion, she eyed him. She wasn't getting a very good vibe from this guy.
"No thank you." She said sharply, flicking her tail with contempt. She shot a glance at Taka and gave him a half-smile, her blue eyes glittering.

C'mon, don't you want a new friend? -
He suddenly looked Taka distrustfully.
And what about you? You must be the king's son, right? -
He smiled and laughed.

Nala's blue eyes narrowed at the lion's words, especially when he opened his jaws and laughed - she eyed the canine teeth. They looked quite fearsome - but she wasn't afraid.
"No, we don't want a new friend. And so what, if he's the King's son? Nothing to laugh about."
Nala had stretched her attitude to the highest level, and was showing obvious contempt towards this male. Couldn't he see he wasn't wanted? Not by her, anyway. Her and Taka would stick together. Now that Simba was gone, they needed each other more than ever.
What if Simba were here? No doubt he'd be a great support here. If only... She thought, biting back tears and swallowing the lump in her throat. No doubt, his mane would be red like Mufasa's... how big would he be? Bigger than Taka? Would he be a good fighter? I could always pin him down...

Danganya walked in circles around Nala and Taka.
He thought that is he accepted him, Scar would find out that he was stronger than Taka.
You know that the hyenas could attack you here, right? - he said.
