Alitash: I promise....I'll be the best daughter ever! ...Thank you!

[Iri]

[Wait that doesn't mean she loves Mardea? So she doesn't love Mardea? xD
I'm not saying that she can't love her new mother. I'm just asking, since she's an adolescent, she seems to be acting the way a really young kid would act.]

"You don't need to be a perfect daughter," Mardea said.

[Adofo]

(Well wouldn't you be elated to finally be adopted?)

Alitash: ....I just want to be the best for you! .....Mommy....can I sleep with you tonight?

[Iri]

[I get that, I guess. It just surprised me a little how she was behaving.]

"You don't need to be the best, Alitash," Mardea said gently but firmly. "Just be you. And yes."

[Adofo]

Alitash snuggled with her new mother

[Iri]

Mardea rested her chin on her paws. "Don't ever try to change yourself for anyone. You're perfect being you," she said.

[Adofo]

Alitash: Yes, mommy!
She snuggled closer and licked her cheek

Mardea was a bit surprised at Alitash's behaviour, but she didn't mind it. "Good night, Alitash."

Alitash: Goodnight.....Mommy!

As the sun's rays spilled over the horizon and Neema and Enzi returned, Chaltuu greeted them- albeit harshly and grouchily. "In the name of spirit-forsaken pit vipers, why were you two gone for so long?" Of course, she wouldn't understand- besides, she was impatient- but that didn't stop her from feeling cross and bad-tempered with them.

[I just feel like their time together wouldn't last for a whole week. Just a night.]
