One thing I've been wanting to do for a really long time is get back into the big TLK AU that Fluffybunny, Suka and I had going. However since the reveal of The Lion Guard we had to put it down temporarily since Kion threw a pretty big wrench into our plans. Yesterday we got back into brainstorming and we can now officially pick it back up again. uvu So here's a concept for Kion as an adult for our AU! Fluffy expressed that she'd really like to see him with more of a Scar like facial design and I really loved the idea of that, so I whipped this up yesterday. :> He's got the cold stare down, but he's a sweetheart really.

I purposely did not include his special shoulder mark as it's kind of been hinted that it could be something entirely different than the paw print (Some weird lion head?) so until the mini movie debuts in November I will be leaving it out. Once it does debut I will come back to full pictures with him in it and add it in!

What are y'alls ideas of what Kion would look like as an adult? More like Dad, Mom, or Grandpa? I'd love to see anyone else's concepts!

I can now see Kion sinking his claws into his fathers paws when he's over the edge and saying "Long live the king!"

I love the way you drew Kion! Of all the artwork I have seen, I think the Scar facial design fits him well, and the fact that he is actually a sweetheart beneath his cold glare makes this design seem even better for him.

I can't wait for "The Lion Guard" to come out! I hope it is a better series than the older Lion King related television show they had before.

Aha, same honestly! One of my theories for him is that everyone is so paranoid with him being the new Scar that he slowly becomes him over time. Though I do prefer him getting along with his family in my other theories. xD

Yeah. ;___; It's mainly because I've had a lot of stuff happen at home that's really taken it's toll on my artwork. I'm hoping to get a little more regular here again, I just need to draw some on topic stuff. I could never forget about this place though!

Thank you! At first I wasn't totally fond of the Scar look for him (back when he was revealed) but it's definitely grown on me now. XD Especially since Kopa or Kiara is always the more Simba-like, it'd be great to see his other family members shine through in Kion's genetics. :> We kept joking though how Kion is the sweetest kid in the Pridelands even as an adult, so I'm super excited to get to putting that into our AU.

I'm so excited for it! I liked the Timon and Pumbaa show alright but I never liked the absence of any of the core TLK characters sans the rare cameo from Simba or Zazu. :< So I'm really happy to see most of the cast back for this!

Darn, now I have to decide to agree with your theory of him slowly becoming Scar (great plan btw ;v;) or the most expected: a sweetheart. Either way, both are brilliant theories, especially with Kion looking extremely similar to Scar.

I would certainly love to see more of your artwork, that is for sure.

Until now I had never thought about Kion carrying on other genetics. Of course, it it most likely Simba and Nala's offspring would be very close to their shapes and colors. Although, now that I have seen this version, I am growing very fond of all of Kion's fan art and theories. They are just so brilliant!

I would have to say the Timon and Pumbaa show would have been better off if more lion characters actually appeared in the show more often. That is why I never watched it a whole lot when it was on. It just wasn't as interesting.

He is fabulous. Your style is fabulous.
I really like your drawing and your version of him. It sticks to the basic colours and design but also makes the angles of his face look more like Scar rather than Simba or Nala, and I like that.
