Another Private RP with Adofo/Iri

[Adofo]

Alitash: I'm sorry! I should have kept my mouth shut!!

[Iri]

"Quit apologizing for everything," Mardea said, looking fairly annoyed. "Don't even think about saying 'sorry'. It just seems so strange, a cub asking me if she could be my kid."

[Adofo]

Alitash turned away, letting out a tear

[Iri]

"What're you crying about?" Mardea said, but instead of her voice being a sharp, terse bark, it was softer, gentler.

[Adofo]

Alitash: .........I.......I feel so alone......you're not the first to turn me down.......I would wander and get attached to other lionesses......they even said that they'd love to have a daughter like me......then I'd ask if they'd adopt me........they'd say yes.......and the next morning.........I.......I'd be all alone!

[Iri]

Mardea sighed and rolled her eyes. She felt like Alitash, even if she had had a rough life, was making unnecessary assumptions. "Alitash," she said, trying to be patient, "I never said no, did I? Don't put words in my mouth that were never there."

[Adofo]

Alitash: ......I.....I thought you did.......

[Iri]

"Well, then, you might want to get your ears checked," Mardea said, half-teasing. "Because I never said no. But don't make a fuss. I'll think about it, all right?"

[Adofo]

Alitash: You.....you will?!
She started to make a small smile

[Iri]

"One rule though: Don't apologize for every little thing that comes from your mouth," Mardea said, half-stern, half-affectionate.
