Here's another little tidbit: Remember when Rafiki was messing around with paint in his baobab tree and he drew a mane on his Simba drawing? Then he said "It is time." Hmm.... time for what? Time to tell Simba the truth, perhaps? Maybe he considered him finally "ready" to go back now.

Uh, no, that was just because Raf just found out that Simba was actually alive then Panda. lol. That's why it was the right time. lol. Can't exactly convince a dead lion to do much of anything now, can you?

Well, possibly Simba might have been freaked out to see Mufasa's Ghost as a cub. He'd be all like:

Couldn't have said it better myself, KM! I for one believe that Mufasa's spirit could only tell Simba what he already knw about his father, and nothing more... Again, I also think that this was something Simba was thinking all along, but refused to act on it until he was confronted by Nala and Rafiki about not going back until that point. So yeah, that was the perfect moment for Mufasa to return and nudge his son in the right direction!

No but really i think it's because until rafiki show's simba who he truly is then mufasa couldn't contact simba
