Zavok smirked, arching his eyebrows. "You wouldn't say that to me if you really encountered my wrath. You don't want to see me when I am at my angriest. You don't want to push it." He pulled his mate closer to him. "Of course, being a hellish creature, I enjoy watching the light in one's eyes fade, so on the other hand, please do go on." He tilted his horns towards Cole.
Zekyu shook the sand off her pelt, guessing that the pride was probably spraying her while her back was turned. She took a few steps forward, standing in front of her father. "Just finish the punishment."
"What?" Zavok lifted his chin. "I do not accept sacrifices, Zekyu. If you want the punishment to go by so swiftly, why don't you do it yourself?"
Zekyu felt numb, feeling betrayed now. "Well, if you want to do it so badly, then why don't you--"
"Shut it." Zavok snapped. Kelsey opened her eyes, and snarled at Zekyu. "What's going on here?"
"They're just being the mortal fools they are, babe." The red and black lion nuzzled his ebony mate. "Go back to sleep."
"No. Not before this." Rising to her paws, Kelsey unsheathed her claws. Her auburn brown eyes turned to white, and she shrieked, disappearing like the wind. The fire went out, and Zavok made himself glow orange, and he sat up in alarm. "Kelsey?"
"...m-mom?" Zekyu shuttered.
