Another "cub" joins the pride!

Adofo: Baby.....please....it's tradition. Sam and Shanon did it. Simba and I did it. Please?

[Iri]

Christen glared at him and after a couple short moment's hesitation, she gingerly handed Ekanem over to Rafiki. "That doesn't mean you didn't have to plead with me to do it with Sam and Shanon, did it?" she muttered angrily, stomping off.

[Adofo]

Rafiki carried her up to the point and presented her. Adofo meanwhile started banging his head on the wall.
Adofo: Ugh.....what's with her lately?! She wasn't like this with Shanon and Sam...

[Iri]

Myrrh glared at him. "Stop that," she scolded, pushing him from the wall. "Don't do that. It's a stupid thing to do. My mum says so. But can you blame her? What mum likes their baby taken from them and getting lifted waaay into the just for trad... tradition?" Since she was a cub, she reared up slightly on her hind limbs and tried to make herself appear bigger, which didn't make her look taller in the slightest.

[Let's just say she WAS like that with Shanon and Sam. Considering that I don't think any mother would want their newborn child taken away from them and lifted up into the air.]

[Adofo]

Adofo: It's......but.........Rafiki has done that for years! All of them have been perfectly fine!

[Iri]

"Does that..." Myrrh paused as she looked for the right words, but continued swiftly. "I don't think that can really stop her from being worried for her kids, can it?" She tried to sound impressive, which again didn't have much effect. "You can't blame her, can you? What mum wants her kid lifted waaay up into the air? I know my mum wouldn't..."

[Adofo]

Adofo: I know but.....my parents did that for me and Simba. It's tradition for royalty to be presented to the land.
Rafiki handed Adofo his daughter.
Adofo: She's fine. See? I need to go after her.

[Iri]

Christen had been standing in a corner, but she watched Adofo take Ekanem from Rafiki and emerged from where she had previously been standing.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Baby....please don't be upset!

[Iri]

Christen's anger deflated. "It's just easy for you to be so calm about her being lifted up into the air."
