A question for our State-side members: Is the song "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues a well known Christmas song over there? It's one of the most popular (if not THE most popular) here in the UK, and I'm asking because part of the lyrics include the line "you scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy f@ggot". I know in the US that word is usually censored, but here in the UK they play it on the radio without silencing it out (maybe because the word "fag" is UK slang for a cigarette) So, is it?

I've never heard of that song, so I'm assuming not, but I don't really keep up with what's "well-known" and popular, so it might be somewhere.

United States. But I attend my church's school, and we don't celebrate Christmas, so they don't care about that. (In fact, most of my finals are tomorrow.)
