The new danger in the land

Tua: Hey....you made a promise....are you going to break that promise?!

"What promise?" asked Mufasa, tilting his head. Being a cub, he'd easily forgotten.

[Adofo]

Tua: You and your brother made a promise to always call us mommy and daddy. Nothing else.

[TheWhistlerify]

Mufasa blinked a few times. "That's dumb."

[Adofo]

Tua: Hehe......heh......yeah.......pretty dumb......
Tua just laid there with a face that was early trying to not show sadness.
Tua: Sorry. I have to.....go.....attend to........something.
He got up and slowly made his way to the entrance

Marini gave Mufasa a quick lick. "Wait here." she said, getting up and quickly following her mate. "Tua? What's wrong?"

Tua: N-nothing.......it's.......nothing...
He was obviously lying

Marini rolled her eyes. She clearly wasn't falling for it. "I'm listening."

[Adofo]

Tua: It's just.....he's calling me dad.....not daddy. .....He made me a promise.....and he tossed it aside. And this has nothing to do with anything.....but one thing.......he's growing up. .....Nuru too. Their growing up so fast that its just......not fair! I just....wanted to have my boys be cubs as long as they could. Pretty soon.....they won't need us anymore.

"Oh, Tua..." Marini sat down and nuzzled her mate tenderly. "That's how life works..." Of course that a male lion would eventually feel uncomfortable about calling his father 'daddy'... "But what makes you think they won't need us anymore?"
