Vitani sighed dejectedly as she figured as much. Kovu didn’t quite understand what she was going through, although he had made some very valid and clear points with his example about Kiara. Still, Vitani viewed her situation as being different from that of her brothers. Watching as Kovu turned to make his way back to Pride Rock, Vitani called after him as she bounded over to where he was.
”Wait Kovu! You’re missing the point here. Don’t you see? All this mess started when Ayari showed up. It’s obvious that Maju wants his revenge, but it’s only upon Ayari. It has nothing to do with me or you or Kiara or any of our Pride for that matter. Ayari knows this, and I do too. I feel like our pride is being put in jeopardy when there’s an easy solution to this problem.”
Giving her brother a moment to process what she had told him, Vitani resumed speaking as her gaze drifted up to the sky above. What she was about to say next, she herself knew, wasn’t the right solution for the problem at paw but it seemed like the quickest and easiest way out of such a sticky situation.
”If Ayari leaves, then Maju and company will leave too, don’t you think? They don’t want our lands. They don’t want any of us. All they want is Ayari. Take Ayari out of the picture and you, Kiara and everyone else is safe from Maju’s reign, right?”
Shifting her focus from the sky above, now down to the moist grass below, Vitani’s voice lowered slightly as she continued, a hint of sadness present in her tone as she stated.
”And if Ayari leaves, I’d go with him. I can’t leave him Kovu. Never again will I let distance be a factor between his and my relationship. I care about him too much Kovu and this is why I can’t stand to let him fight Maju. If there’s a chance that he could die in the process, then why should I? I know, running away is taking the cowards way out but if that means both Ayari and more importantly, you and Kiara and the rest of the pride are safe, than shouldn’t it be that way?”

Completely caught off guard by Schwari’s loving gesture, Zina merely stood there, her muzzle slightly ajar as she watched Schwari bounding down into The Grasslands. With her head swelling with thoughts and her heart racing wildly, the white furred lioness was about to give chase, when Siri’s voice reached her, almost dragging her out of her euphoric like trance as she sighed softly and flashed her friend a smile before speaking indirectly towards both Siri and Husudu, who seemed to be quite comfortable draped over Siri’s body.
”Yes, who would have guessed, aye Siri? We’re taking things slow though, so don’t expect me to be popping out cubs anytime soon.”
Narrowing her eyes towards Husudu, Zina couldn’t help but to toss in a smug remark as she sneered at him.
”Jealousy is a natural feeling Husudu. Maybe there’s even someone special out there for you too, although if I were them, I’d seriously take a one way trip into a stampede of wildebeest, as it’d be a lot less painful than putting up with the likes of you.”
Turning her attention back towards Schwari, who seemed to be waiting for her near the base of pride Rock, Zina shook her head in a disparaging fashion at Husudu before she trotted off, calling over her shoulder to Siri as she left.
”I’d go wash yourself up in The Waterhole Siri after having that THING laying on you, who knows where ITS been.”
Leaving the two felines to their own device, Zina joined Schwari in The Grasslands as she pasted another friendly smile upon her muzzle before she took lead, her tail swishing to and fro behind her, a clear sign that she felt absolutely at ease within Schwari’s presence now. Waiting till they were a fair distance away from pride Rock, Zina turned to her grey furred companion as she asked in an intrigued voice.
”Your brother and Siri seemed awfully close this morning. For someone who says that love is so horrible, he doesn’t have a problem getting close to a lioness whose heart isn’t completely mended yet. I swear Schwari, if he’s taking advantage of her in her current state, that’s just low of him.”

Snarling from his aunts claw piercing his pelt around his chin, but not in a painful manner, more so, in a twisted act of enjoyment, Xepher extended his rough tongue as he licked over his newly received wound, tasting his own blood, which brought a dark smirk to his muzzle. Nodding obediently, Xepher responded in a coy tone.
”Mmm, of course Aunty Kiburi. As you wish.”
Turning to take his leave, Xepher could feel his own dark desires getting the better of him as he quickly turned and pounced upon his aunt, pinning her down under the combined weight of his body. Jeering down at her with a callus grin, Xepher ran his tongue over Kiburi’s muzzle lips before hopping off of her and darting out of The Elephant Graveyard, on route to find Tume.
Knowing full well where his old friend would be, Xepher casually made his way towards one of the more secluded areas within the boarder between The Pride Lands and The Elephant Graveyard. Arriving at the densely foggy local, Xepher cleared his mind of what had just happened between himself and his aunt before he called out into the thick fog.
”It’s show time Tume. Aunty Kiburi requests that we get things moving.”
