Back home, Vitani was letting the cubs nurse as she was waiting for her mate to return with food

Siari came running into the den. "Mommy, mommy!" She nuzzled her stepmother affectionately.

Vitani: Hi baby!!! How's mommy's baby girl doing?!!

(Night)

Siari giggled happily. "I learned how to swim!" she exclaimed before looking at all of her little siblings. "Do they do anything besides nurse and sleep??" she asked with another giggle. "Or mewl?" There was still some time until they would open their eyes and even longer until they would start moving around.

Vitani: Thats great baby!! And no, they just sleep and nurse! Come here baby! Mommy wants a big hug!

Siari went ahead and cuddled up against the lioness's chest, purring at the warmth of her fur.

(I don't think it should matter very much. Since there are 6 of them I think they should be background characters except for like 1 or 2. Too many characters can be hard to keep track of.)

Siari looked at her little siblings and smiled. "Can I go to them when they finish eating?"

Vitani: YOu can go to them now sweetheart! It's okay! Just be gentle!

This wasn't Siari's first time interacting with her newborn siblings, but she always asked for permission. She walked over to one of the cubs, a male, who seemed to have finished nursing, and lay down closely to him. "Hello little bro!" she said to the tiny hairball. "You're cute! I can't wait to get to know you better!"
