The new danger in the land

Vitani: Okay! Come here, sweetie!
She laid down and started grooming her daughter.
Vitani: Hey Siari.....you think you might want to sleep with mommy tonight?

Siari lay there with a grumpy look on her face as she was bathed. "Well..." She smiled. "Okay!"

Vitani: Yay!!!! Ohh.....Kopa....can you please go get me some food?! I'm sorry, baby!

Kopa blinked a few times. "Y-yeah, sure." he said, getting up and leaving the den.

Vitani: Thank you baby! I love you! You know Siari....you're very lucky to have a daddy like him! .....You're mother must have been so special to get to have you with him

Siari settled back down between Vitani's paws. "Daddy always says I look a lot like her..." she said.

Vitani: You must miss her a whole lot.....and I know she must miss you! And Siari.....even though you'll never love me as much as your real mommy.....remember that I'll always love you! I love you so much! .....It actually breaks my heart knowing you're not my daughter.....because.....at least then.....I could call the sweetest little thing that ever lived my baby girl!

"I do miss her..." said Siari quietly before nuzzling Vitani's leg. "But I love you too!"

Vitani: Awwww!! .....but I'll never be able to compare to your real mommy....and its okay. She is your real mommy after all
