i think TLG COULD bring back the emotion but i reckon to do it at the same level of the first would require the death of Simba and Nala

Nah, I don't think disney would do that. you can create emotional moments without relying on death.

I comissioned an image of kion crying about no one liking him, and simba comforting him and the story behind it went that kion says "Kion: Dad, why does it feel like I will never fit in? No one seems to like me very much. I feel like I was a mistake.

then simba sings 'your song by elton john, and then kion tells simba he loves him.
