The new danger in the land

Tua's smile quickly disappeared from his face.
Tua: Right.....not related.....yeah.
All he could think of was his nephew not thinking that he and him were related.

"By blood, I mean..." continued Kopa. "Do you think it might be a good idea to, well... betrothe them?"

[Adofo]

Tua: What?! Your cousin marry your daughter!?

"There isn't a bilogical connection between them and they're really good friends, just like my parents were." said Kopa.

[Adofo]

Tua: I know but....still....they are related on some level...I don't know.

"Just... It is a tradition and all..." Kopa cleared his throat. "But it's okay if you disagree with this..." He was suddenly starting to find the situation very awkward. "Uh... I think Vitani and I will be going now... I'll see you later?"

[Adofo]

Tua: No wait! .....Do you really think they're right for each other? Because of the family thing....I just don't want it to be weird for them!

(YOu do remember Simba got rid of that tradition right?)

(There's nothing that proves he actually did. He only said he would when he was a cub. It seems logical that he forgot because the reason he wanted to get rid of it was to not have to marry his best friend, which he ended up doing anyway)

Kopa looked at his uncle. "I dunno." There was no way of telling for sure. Siari and Nuru wouldn't even start to develop an interest in the opposite sex until their adolescence, and either way only they would be able to tell who was the right one for them. "You know what? Perhaps we should forget about this talk until they get a little older..."

[Adofo]

(Well he fell in love with Nala, but in LK2, Kiara should have been betrothed but is later married to Kovu. And the whole betrothel thing is never mentioned about Kiara. So I think Simba went along with it cuz he fell in love with Nala, but got rid of it afterwards.)

Tua: Actually.....I think it's a great idea! I mean.....they don't seem to get along with anyone else of the opposite gender like they do! ...I think if they do get betrothed...they'll be just happy with that!

Kopa smiled. "What I meant is we could wait until they're a little older to think about this." he said, chuckling. "Mom and dad didn't take the news very well at the time..."
