"All right," Chaltuu relented, "sounds like a plan. Let's go."

Enzi: Chaltuu....do you hate me? Be honest.

[Iri]

"No." Chaltuu, though her voice was still gruff, was honest and truthful. "Listen, Enzi, I've done a lot of things I regret in my life. I regret... being born, honestly. But I do not hate you, Enzi. Though I'm not head-over-heels about you, you have proved yourself to be a good companion... and I... appreciate your help. All of it. I appreciate what you're doing for me- even though I don't think I really deserve it." She looked at the ground and shuffled her paws. "I appreciate your support and kindness... it's something I've always longed for in life."

"I've never... been one to think I could ever be loved," Chaltuu said. "I'm not necessarily pretty though." She had always thought she looked weird. Just with her elongated snout, narrowed green eyes, and large paws, she had felt strange and awkward.
