The new danger in the land

Tua was starting to choke. He kept his eyes on his mate.

The lions fought off the hyenas without holding back.

[Adofo]

Tua's eyes started slowly closing as his mate was running to his side.
Tua: Ma-...Mar-....Marini.....

Marini was about to say something in response when, all of a sudden, Kopa rushed back over to the scene while carrying something. She had no idea what it was. "Tua, you need to swallow this!" He did not hesitate to simply shove it into the older lion's mouth.

[Adofo]

He swallowed but his eyes fully closed and he stopped moving.

Kopa stomped his paw on the ground in frustration. "No! Not again!" The hyenas were already retreating.
Marini simply stared at her mate's still form without moving a single inch. She was completely frozen in shock.

[Adofo]

Tua still didn't budge. Then after a few moments he started coughing up the remains of both plants.
Tua: .......Marini? Is that you?

[TheWhistlerify]

Marini's horrified expression was replaced by a smile of relief as she embraced her mate tightly, weeping into his fur. "You're okay!"

[Adofo]

Tua embraced her
Tua: I thought I lost you...

[TheWhistlerify]

Marini continued weeping into her mate's mane. "I thought I lost you!" The other meanwhile huddled around them and Kopa, obviously glad that Tua was okay.
