The new danger in the land

She led him to a grassy field and laid down on her back. She patted the ground next to her for him to lay down

The first thought that passed through Lin's mind as he watched Crystal lie down on her back was that she was in a very vulnerable position and could be easily hurt if another lion had an intention of such a nature. But, after a few seconds, he overcame his hesitation and also lay down in a similar manner.

Crystal: Its a beautiful night.....isn't it!?

Lin looked up at the sky, slowly nodding his head. "Yeah, it is..." There he was, on an actual date, and he had no idea what to do.

Crystal: So...where you from?

Lin thought about it for a few moments. "Nowhere in particular, really..." he said. He never had a pride before and he couldn't even remember where it was he'd been born.

Crystal: You seem....shy. I just...don't want you to feel uncomfortable.

[TheWhistlerify]

"Shy?" Lin chuckled slightly. The things he'd been through made him anything but shy. There were times where he thought he could be too bold or straight-forward. But, perhaps in this situation, Crystal was right. This was the first date he's ever been on and she was the first lioness to have ever shown any interest in him. "It's okay, I'm just not used to this..." Not to mention that she was actually nice... "I'll get the hang of this soon." And beautiful, too. "Probably."

Crystal: Hey...do you believe in love at first sight?

The white lion found the question to be rather odd. "I..." He turned his gaze from the sky to her. Their eyes locked. "I don't know..." How could he? Crystal was practically the first lioness he's had an actual conversation with. Her eyes were so deep and rich in color...
