Maua heard Ashur's cries. "Oh Ashar, I'm so sorry...", Maua said. She quickly ran to Mohatu. "Great King Mohatu! Please let me go back to the Pridelands! My cubs are drenched, Ashar might die if I'm not with him! Oh please Mohatu please!", Maua said as she started crying. Mohatu didn't say a word. He just clapped his paws. Then, Maua started dissaperring. She didn't even notice.

Next thign Maua knew, she was next to priderock. Wait, I'm home! I'm back in the Pridelands!, Maua thought. Then, Maua got up and started running home. "I'll get to see Ashur!", Maua yelled. Wait., she thought. Mohatu, please bring Ashar back to life aswell., Maua said. She just started running back home.

Ashur cried some more and sniffled. He looked up at the sky. Oh how he longed for Maua! It was all his fault, wasn't it? Ashur looked down at the ground and kicked some dirt out of his way. The dirt smoked up and went up his nose. Ashur sniffled and sneezed. He lay back down on the ground, sulking. Why oh why did life have to treat him so bad? Ashur rolled his eyes at that thought. No time to complain... Ashur suddenly jerked his head up. He thought he smelled a fimilar scent. It smelled like.. Ashur sniffed again... he knew that scent! And it was coming near him! Ashur then reconized a figure running towards him. His eyes widened and a big smile spread across his face. He knew whom was running. He knew that shape, and scent. It was Maua! And she was running, right toward him!! Then he remembered all she had done. She had almost killed him and her cubs... but what if she changed? Ashur was too happy. Mad or not, Ashur loved her.

Maua then saw a figure. "It's Ashur!", Maua said. She ran faster. Faster than she ever ran in her life. It was like she was about to catch the biggest prey in the herd. She was soon 12 inches from Ashur. She then pounced on him. "Ashur! I missed you so much!", Maua said. She then licked him on the cheek.

Ashur licked Maua back and nuzzled her. Ashur looked her in the eyes. Maua, I missed you so much. Where were you? Ashur really didn't care either way. All he wanted was his Maua back, and he got her. He was the happiest he had ever been. He kissed her muzzle and smiled. Then he looked up at the morning sky and sighed. On your way back Maua, did you spot Roxas? I have no idea where he went. Thinking of his son, brought a sort of stinging pain to his scar that Roxas had given him. But he still loved Roxas.

Maua was so happy she almost cried. "No Ashur I didn't see our son. I don't know where he is. I'm just praying that he's alright.", Maua said. Then she spotted Ashur's eye. 'What happened to your eye!?", Maua exclaimed. She then licked the scar on his face. "Is it bad?", Maua asked.

Ashur got more relaxed at the lick Maua gave him. He looked down at his paws, then looked up again at Maua. He was so relaxed now that Maua was here. Well.. Roxas got a little cross with me..He wanted to go out looking for you, I told him no, and he just got mad. Nothing to big. Ashur answered. He then looked around again. Where could he be? Ashur thought. Ashur had no idea that Roxas was still in the sky.

Maua was shocked. "I did pray to Mohatu that he'd make Roxas come back to life. I hope Mohatu grants my pray.", Maua told Ashur. Maua then got off of Ashur. "Let's go back inside the cave. I'm tired and I want my brother to see I'm alive.", Maua said as she gave Ashur a nuzzle. "I missed you so much.", she said.

Ashur smiled at Maua and licked her cheek, and walked by her side to the den. Mohatu? Oh, the once and wise great king, huh? Ashur noticed the sun rising more with each step he took. Afternoon was coming, and Ashur was getting hungry. Then a thought came to Ashur's head. What Maua had just said. I prayed to Mohatu for Roxas to come back to life... Ashur stopped in his tracks. He had completely forgotten what had happened. Roxas has dissapeerd into the sky. Ashur looked at Maua. So, Roxas is still dead? Ashur asked with a gulp.

Maua stopped at her tracks. Maua really didn't know the answer. She just prayed and ran. "Umm, Ashur I really don't know, all I did was pray and I went off on my own. I'm sorry honey.", Maua replied. A tear came down her eye. "I hope that if he's back to life, he's alright.", Maua said.

Ashur wiped the tear away from Maua's face by nuzzling her. He smiled. My love, do not cry. It'll be okay, I am sure Roxas is out there somewhere...he is strong for his age, and he knows how to defend himself. Ashur reassured Maua. Ashur walked into the den and found Alfarjiri, Tero, and the cubs. Ashur smiled at them Look who's back... He said.
