A Private RP for Labatis

"Yeah, I'm fine," Chaltuu said. "Umm... You?" That nightmare had shaken her up, and she felt a fresh new pang of longing to see her sister for just a few more minutes, just ten more seconds. Was that too much to ask? She hated being separated from Kapuki, she hated the fact that she'd probably never see her sister again. And if she did, where would it be? It could be in a border dispute, a territory clash, or for all she knew the next time she'd see Kapuki's familiar face could be in the flames of battle.

[Labatis]

"Fine." He noticed some sleep in her eyes, so she probably had fallen asleep. Angus wondered what caused her a stir, perhaps she dreamed of something that made her sorrow grow. He shrugged the though off, knowing she may not want to tell him.

[Short post of doom.]

Chaltuu nodded before resting her head on the rock with her paws tucked snugly under her chest. She felt bored and trapped where she was. What to do, what to do... It was raining, so she wasn't guessing there was much to do or talk about. The cricket's chirping and birds' singing had died away, and she noticed some small birds flapping their wings and soaring off to make sure they didn't get soaked in rain. She had learned that birds usually didn't like water or rain.

Angus walked towards the opening, seeing the savannah soaked, and most scents were washed away. Hunting wouldn't do good, they weren't that hungry now, and it would be too difficult to find something now. Now what could they do? Sit around and wait for some action to come? There had to be something that could keep them busy. "Any... ideas of something to do?"

[Iri]

"Nope," Chaltuu said. She flicked her tail and her torn ear. The rain had really washed every single scent away. They weren't hungry anyway, but she found it interesting how rain could just sweep the scents away of other animals. She wondered if she'd ever go back to her pride. "Angus, have you ever thought of returning to your pride?" she queried, voicing her thoughts, but more to Angus this time.

[Labatis]

"Yes, I've thought about it many times. But if I return, all I will see is the betrayal. Why go back, if there is nothing left to go back for?" Angus wondered why she would ask, and he had wondered before if she'd ever go back. Maybe she changed her mind? "What about you?" He asked, hoping he wasn't only repeating himself. If he was Chaltuu, the only thing he would go back for is her sister. Try to bring her to wherever Chaltuu went. After all, wasn't that the only thing she might have missed?

[Iri]

"I do wish to go back someday. But I'd just get killed," Chaltuu said. She did feel a huge longing to bring her sister to travel with her. But Kapuki probably didn't remember her. She'd be scared, brainwashed by Kivuli's superstitions that red fur was a cursed symbol to any pride. Kapuki might even attack Chaltuu. But did Kapuki recognize Chaltuu? Would Kapuki remember a lioness who comforted her when she cried, the one who looked after her while Kivuli was away?

[Short post of doom.]

"I could try to help you, if you ever went back." He sat down, wondering what her pride was like, and how far it was. Would she refuse to return because she was too scared? Would she actually be killed for entering? Both of them were strong, and if she wanted to go back, perhaps she would have a chance.

[I couldn't think of anything to post, so it probably makes no sense.]

[xD It makes sense. At least it wasn't "So Chaltuu wears sunglasses and I'm a rainbow so let's go eat a pie and now let's conquer her daddy's land okay pizza".]

"You would?" Chaltuu said. "I mean... We'd get killed." Kivuli hadn't been joking or just trying to frighten Chaltuu into not returning. He'd kill her if she returned. That was how blind he was to his own kin. When Chaltuu was a cub, Kivuli often did try to intimidate her. More times than not, it worked, and she would keep her distance for a long time. Her father rather preferred it that way. He hated Chaltuu's company, her questions, her innocent eyes that would silently beg him to acknowledge her.

[Labatis]

"I'll die? Well then I'll be looking forward to it." He sarcastically joked, in attempt to get her mind off of whatever she was thinking about. His tail flicked out of boredom, it seemed like every second was a month. Even though Chaltuu would say something within a couple seconds, Angus tried to keep himself focused on something. The rain had stopped for a while, and the grass was now moist.
