"Oh.. um, thanks..?" Riu tried not to sound mean, it just surprised her at that comment. She paused for a minute before continuing. "Your eyes are wonderful as well." Now this is awkward.. Riu kneaded the ground nervously, knowing that the sentence following the 'thank you' was very odd. That was one of the only ways she could thank someone, is by saying 'yours too'.

Mala: Well, thank you! .....It's a beautiful night tonight!

[Labatis]

"Sure is." Riu was relieved he didn't laugh at her sentence, and she shifted her gaze towards the beautiful night sky. The moon was crescent, the stars were shining brightly, and the darkened sky got brighter the closer it was to the ground.

[Adofo]

Mala: Can I ask another weird question? Have you....ever been in love?

[Labatis]

"Only once, a long time ago. More like a crush, I never was sure the way he felt about me. He was gone before I was able to talk to him.. without being awkward, anyway." Riu's tail curled around her as she laid down next to the huge tree. She wondered if the monkey had been helping the pride eat, seeing the blood-stained ground behind the tree no longer had the things they had caught. She couldn't see him hanging around inside the tree.

Mala: I've only been in love once. And......it's the way I still feel.

[Labatis]

"Oh? .....With who? Am I interfering?" I hope I am not standing in the way of who he likes... Riu thought to herself, placing one of her paws on top of the other.

"Well what..?" Riu cocked her head slightly, awaiting his response. Perhaps something around here is making him stop. She looked around the tree, seeing nothing but the calm herds roaming around in the distance.
