A message from the old timer here.
I don't know if you saw this but this is 12 years of improvement.
http://www.mylionking.com/fan/art/Artis ... work=15237And this 14 years of drawing.
http://www.mylionking.com/fan/art/Artis ... work=17199Need I say more.

If I posted my stuff from 2001 on here I bet I would not get a single comment. (Actually my stuff from 2014 also hardly gets comments, favourites or rates too. So don't feel too bad.)

In my first 6 months my actual skill did not improve. At all. I went from being able to sketch to colouring those sketches... rather poorly. With the fill bucket. That is it. That is all I learned in the first 6 months.

It took years to learn enough to better my skills. But you have to enjoy doing it. If you REALLY do not enjoy doing it find something you do enjoy. In life you will be forced to do a lot of things you may not enjoy (School, Work, Pay bills and Taxes, Cleaning, etc) So do not let something that is an option be one of those things you hate doing. At the same time if you do enjoy drawing don't let this situation stop you from doing things you do enjoy. Draw because YOU love it. Not because someone else does.

(Yes I am one to talk, but that is why I am taking a bit of a leave till the new year. I found I was drawing only to make others happy not myself. And so I was not enjoying it.)
