Jahzara laughed softly, before hurrying after her friend.

Coming up to the river, Imani hid in the bushes, watching for any calves.

[Iri]

Jahzara sniffed the air. Hippopotamus scent. It was a bit faint, but fresh.

"Ssh, there's one."

[Heh, mine's gone too.]

Jahzara flicked her tail. The calf was small but pudgy. It'd make a decent meal.

[Kipekee]

Without warning, Imani leaped, grabbing the hippo and dragging it away by the mouth so the mother couldn't hear it's screams.

[Iri]

Jahzara gasped, before jumping after her friend. "I feel bad about killing a calf.."

[Kipekee]

"Better than killing an adult and leaving with one less leg than when you started." Imani muttered through the calf's muzzle.

[Iri]

Jahzara shrugged.

A while later after wrestling with the calf, Jahzara helped Imani drag the calf back to their little shaded spot.
