Darakri also remembered how Fadhili had reacted. He was still only friends with Laini back then, but it didn't mean that Fadhili didn't tease everyone about everything she can use against them. "Yeah, I think she didn't get bored of teasing them until at least several weeks afterwards," he added, "which honestly was way too long for me. She drove me nuts. With her teasing of them all the time non stop."

He glanced at Lina. "So when she later found out about me and Laini here... oh was it terrible." Dakari then grinned. "But I think we all enjoyed getting revenge on her when she was struck down by love. She certainly did get more tame after that." He then realized what Laini was doing, and pawed himself. "Honey, really? Now of all times?"

Kasi had to agree, because he was looking completely pale with horror. "Mom! No!... Just...No..." He felt himself blushing though. "...At least not yet."

Lina couldn't help but find what she was being told to be rather amusing. She could easily imagine her mother giving everybody an almost endless series of teasing about every little thing; especially love. Boy, it must have been really fun for the rest of them to tease her and get back at her back about the same thing. "Define 'tame'..." she said with a chuckle as she playfully rolled her eyes. She doubted that her mother still teased her cubhood friends, but it was impossible to imagine her having been even worse back when she was younger with all the teasing she was putting her daughters through now.

Letting out a sigh, Laini looked at her older son. "You boys are all the same." she stated with a shrug of her shoulders. Nyoka then accidentally tripped over a twig, finally allowing Akili to catch up to him. The timing seemed to be perfect in regard to her statement because of how silly the sight was. Looking at her mate, she grinned and playfully pressed his nose with a paw. "And you, honey, shush."

"You don't have to act as if it's the end of the world, you know." said Lina with a chuckle, looking at Kasi. "Just be glad that's all your hearing from her. My mother would have tried to hook you up with at least a dozen different lioness you've never even met before by this point. Umeme and I were sure lucky that they decided to travel..."

Dakari was about to reply to Fadhili that no, he wasn't going to hush, when he heard what Lina told Kasi, and then his son's stuttering reply.

Kasi was feeling like his head was about to catch on fire due to the burning of embarrassment he was feeling. "Lina!" he complained yet again, "you-you're not helping!" While he did know that Fadhili was the kind of mother who would indeed try something like that, he still wasn't sure that if she was his mother that he would be indeed in the situation that Lina just told him.

He was so embarrassed that he didn't really know what to say. "Well look, Lina. Your mother is not mine, so I don't care about what would have happened to you." He shut his mouth and simply remained glaring at Lina.

Lina had to admit that this situation was reminding her of when they were little. True, they didn't tease each other as badly as her mother must have teased her own friends at the time, but still. "All I'm saying is that you should look at the bright side." she said with a giggle. "Your situation isn't that bad, if at all." Giggling once more, she went ahead and gave her cubhood friend a quick hug. "I really should come and visit more often."' she said, letting him go after a few moments. "I forgot how silly our discussions could get." Back then their arguments, whatever they had been about, must have been ten times as pointless, but she didn't seem to mind that.

Kasi grumbled but returned Lina's hug. "Yeah, I remember. You don't need to remind me." It wasn't like she was leaving just yet, but for some reason, he found odd that it was their arguments and all their strange conversations they had in the past that made her want to visit him more. That was Lina being Lina, he supposed....

Trying to at least partially change the subject, he quickly asked. "So next time you will come over, will you uh... bring Delano along?" He knew that she didn't bring him along this time because Delano didn't feel that well, he didn't know how things would be with Lina and Delano occupying themselves all the time. To be truthful, he also found the ability to enjoy their little argument, but if Delano was here, Kasi doubted that he and Lina would have even started talking to each other.

Smiling all the while, Lina let Kasi go. "Sure, if he feels better." It's not that Delano was literally feeling unwell, but his fatigue did have a direct effect on his mood. It would be better to wait for him to get his head out of the clouds first. "I just might drag him along if I have to." she said, chuckling, even if she doubted that doing something like that would be necessary. Her mate probably wasn't going to have a problem visiting his aunt, uncle and two cousins. At least, he shouldn't have one.

Kasi had to chuckle at how Lina described what she would do to Delano if he wouldn't want to come. "Well, I guess he'll just have to show up willingly," he said after some time. He looked at Lina, sending her a funny look. "after all, what would Akili think if you, his mother, had to drag his father over here?" It was a funny sight to think about, but it was also one that was at least partially scary to think about at the same time.

"So are you sure he's alright?" Kasi then asked Lina. "You know, I don't remember him ever just feeling tired? I mean, I know I didn't see him or anything, but was it really that smart to just leave him?" He felt foolish asking this, but he couldn't help but feel concerned for his cousin. After all, it was Delano he was talknig about - that lion had a tenancy to get into trouble.

Thinking about it, Lina had to admit that just imagining what it would look like if she dragged Delano along with Akili watching the whole process was raher amusing. She still doubted she'd have to resort to such measures, but still. "I'm assuming he'd find it funny." she said with a chuckle. "And Delano probably won't hear the end of it from him in that case." Heck, knowing their son, he'd probably try to help her drag his father along by tugging on his tail or something. That would certainly be entertaining to watch.

"Well, he did say he was tired." She thought about it for a short moment. "He was certainly acting like it, too. Plus, it was his idea to stay behind." After another short silence, she suddenly looked at Akili. "D-do you think I should have perhaps left Akili with my parents and then gone back to him instead?"

No knowing what to answer, Kasi simply shrugged. "You last saw him, so I don't know. I don't think anything will be wrong if you want to check on him now. It's not like there are too little of us to watch over Akili and Nyoka." He felt kind of bad for causing Lina to start worrying about her mate, but at the same time, it wasn't like his own worries would simply vanish, despite that Kasi knew that he could ignore his feelings much better than Lina could.

It wouldn't even requite all that much explanation why Lina would want to leave right now if she would. Everyone would understand her being worried about Delano and wanting to check on him. "So if you want to go and see him, Lina, we can keep an eye on the cubs."

Now that Kasi had caused her to think about it that way, Lina couldn't stop thinking about the possibility that perhaps leaving Delano alone in the den wasn't the best idea. But Kasi was definitely right about one thing - it wouldn't be a problem for her to go and see him. There were plenty of pairs of eyes to watch over Akili for a while. Her mind made up, she went ahead and callerld her son over. "Akili!" The cub ceased chasing Nyoka and came to her. "I'm going to go and see your father, I'll be back soon. Don't give your aunt and uncle any trouble."

Akili nodded, letting out an annoyed groan when his mother decided to lick his little head once. Lina giggled as she watched him return to his game with Nyoka before looking at her mate's aunt and uncle. "Is it okay if I leave him here for a little bit?" Laini nodded, having hear her conversation with Kasi. "Thanks. I'll try not to take too long." With that taken care of, she turned around and began making her way back to her and Delano's den. Once she got to it, she called out to her mate before going inside.
