Alrighty, here's an art with Willow from TLK/dA! Her character Eminude. At some apocalyptic place. With her personality, I figured this would do really nicely. And just have to love her design. Fully shaded, detailed the crap out of it, but I also did a lot of shading. Going for a bit extreme lighting and shading. Shade line shade again, colour, shade again, line again, and shade again to get the extremes I got.
Eminude's design is simple, yet hard to actually pull of right. I did ask for a challenge. And this was. And it was a blast to do! Spent maybe a week on this, getting the proportioning right and everything. I got a bit of inspiration for from a pic from Nightrizer on dA. Awesome artist!

Love the composition! It has a circle motion so the tail brings the eye back to the face. Great colors to!

Cool. Didn't think about that honestly. Accidental success. So, I accept the compliment. Would love to see you try foreshortening iheart. It's loads of fun!

She asked for something with contrast and depth. And this is it. I truly wish this was my char. Eminude's awesome!

The only way to get good at them is to use them. Cuz I can say when I first started, I was kinda poor at them. My older stuff up here confirms it.
