Adofo kneeled down and held out his arms.

Chien eyed him warily before nuzzling his hand.

Adofo gently picked Chien up and held her close

After Adofo put her down, Chien stoically turned and walked away behind her mother.
"We'll bury her now," Hondo said.

Adofo: Wait...can i say a few things?

Hondo turned, his eyes dull. "Yes.."

Adofo: Baie...you were my very sweet granddaughter....and even though we weren't able to get very close...I loved you with all my heart! And.......thanks to you...you brought me back together with my little boy, your father. You were an angel in life...and you still are.
Adofo carefully picked up her body.
Adofo: Goodbye, Baie. *kiss* we will all miss you. ....Thanks for everything.
He lays her in the hole and pushes the dirt in. He then puts the rock with words pre-scratched into it saying "Here lies Baie. A wonderful and sweet little lioness. The world will never be the same. <3"
