Both my parents grew up in Cali, TPAM. Most of my family still lives there. Yeah, it's a nice place to visit. I love San Diego and I'm thinking of going to college nearby. But as a whole, it's freaking expensive to live there and there's just way too many people for me to enjoy it, tbh.

Your mom is lucky she can afford it, then, TPAM. :3 I know my dad wouldn't be able to, but then we haven't had our own place in ages and we can't really afford to live anywhere but right here right now so that might not say too much.

(I hate being poor, I don't mean it personally since I love my dad and all, but I don't want to live here like this for my whole life and not be able to do anything or go anywhere. I seriously have to leave.)

I think the main thing that drives me away from Cali is the high prices for everything, as well as the terrible reputation it gets (sorry, I know not everyone is vain and annoying but you know...), and the weirdness that goes on down there politically. Plus LA especially is super crowded and smoggy. On the flip side, though, I would be closer to other family members. And I do like San Diego, like I said.

So yeah, considering it. xD

At least where I'm at TPAM, not that many people are vain. I dealt with more annoying and mean people in Alaska and Colorado (and they thought that everyone else but them was annoying and vain ). But we still have our fair share of idiots. I would hope to be an example of someone who is not an ignorant Californian.
Half the people at my school are completely apathetic when it comes to academics, the other half of people are super obsessed with academics. So I wouldn't worry about not finding a group to fit in with
