Jr and all his brothers, sisters and the rest of the pride came out from behind the rocks.
Jr: Surprise!!!!

[Iri]

Yekize jumped back, startled, then relaxed. "Hondo?" she said.
Hondo stepped from behind a rock. "Mother, Father," he greeted. He butted his forehead against his mother's and turned towards his father.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Son....what is all of this?

[Iri]

"For your anniversary." Hondo flicked his tail. He nudged his father's hand affectionately and stepped up onto the rock. "Attention," he called.

[He's about to give the speech and all.]

[Adofo]

Adofo looked up at his son.

[Iri]

All of the pride looked up. No one knew about the speech except Jr, Gamba, and Hondo.
"I'd like to say a few words." Hondo cleared his throat. "My mother has been with me through everything. When I was a cub, she comforted me when I cried. When I was ill she'd sneak into other territories to find herbs. If I was feeling lonely or sad, she'd find some way, some way, to cheer me up. She cares for me, and I care for her." He blinked warmly towards Yekize.
"My father and I do not have an extremely close relationship, and that is the truth, and he knows it," Hondo said. "And we have our arguments, as all parents and children do. But that doesn't mean I don't love him. Yes, times have been difficult where as an adolescent I felt like just leaving because I didn't want to be around any of the pride anymore. But I realize now that that would not have fixed anything. And along with that not helping my problems, I wouldn't have gotten to know what a good father I had."

[Adofo]

Adofo looked at his son with a smile and a small tear in his eye

[Iri]

Hondo stepped from the rock and stood between his parents. His mane puffed up proudly. "I love both of you," he murmured to his mother and his father.

[Can Chiku give a speech?]

[Adofo]

(They can all give speeches if u want)

Adofo: We love you too!
He put his arms around his son and held him tight.

[Iri]

[No, not all.]

Chiku swiftly stepped up on the rock. Her usually grumpy glare had been softened into a friendly smile. "May I have your attention?" she called.
