^ I honestly wouldn't even guess that you weren't English, your English is fine. But you're absolutely right. And I mean, I understand that typing English may be hard for foreign speakers, but this is beyond the point of 'a few grammar errors'. This is at the point where you literally can't understand what the author is saying. I don't want to be mean to people about their English, especially if it's not their first language, but this is just bad. Seriously, there's not a single quotation mark and there's only one period in the whole first chapter. I don't think there's even any capitals. WTF.

Not to mention that there are people who know English as a first language and still manage to make a ton of really basic grammar/punctuation errors. I mean, they understand that Spell Check and Beta-Reading is a thing, right? There's so many tools out there to help their writing, I honestly don't know why everyone on FFn as a whole seems so averse to using them.

Over my like what.... 13 years of knowing English, I feel like I never had any other language but English. Much appreciated for that :'3 I still do have troubles knowing the longer words or some words that are same as others, but that's why we have dictionaries.

If they use the WordPad which is like a "improved" Notepad on Windows 7 (I dunno if it's on older versions), that one doesn't have those little red lines under. Then I wouldn't really be surprised, but if they thought like "Oh cool this is gonna be the best fanfiction", but I'm pretty sure there are some websites out there that do check your spelling. Fanfiction's document editor even has those red lines pointing out errors. If they went to school, surely their school must have been taught English :S but I'm not too sure, maybe English isn't even taught in some schools of the world. Even in their own language subject, pretty sure they should have been taught proper writing...

And rants are okay xD -- It's kinda why I tend to avoid those kind of fanfics, by the summary I could even tell it's gonna be a brain hurt.
