Warrior Cats Roleplay with Zoketi [Private]

Lilypaw lowered her gaze. "Can't StarClan save them?"
"No, we cannot," Dappleflower meowed. "Kits are not like leaders- they do not have nine lives. They have only one, and almost anything can rip that single life away."
Lilypaw sneaked a glance over at the kits. They were play-wrestling, tugging on each other's tails and pinning each other. She watched them with amusement and sadness at the same time. Slowly Dappleflower faded.
Lilypaw shifted slightly before completely waking up. The kits reminded her of Poppybloom, and the vow that Lilypaw had made as a kit to try her best to help a kit or a kitting queen in danger.

[When will Poppybloom's kits come? xD]

[Within the next moon, I think. Any name/gender ideas? I was thinking there'd either be just one kit, or two. Just as a note, Brightspeckle and Owlscreech are also Poppybloom's kits, from a previous litter.]

Lifting his head, Bluestrike gave himself a slow shake as he fully rose up. Cloudpaw was waking too, and Stonecliff was already sitting back, having woken just minutes before. Blossompaw was still lost in dreams.

Bluestrike glanced towards his apprentice, his eyes cautious. "I assume you know we don't speak of what we see here. If it's important, you tell me when we return to camp and no one can here us." he murmured quietly.

[Oh, okay. And I think maybe one she-kit named Hawkkit, and Hawkflight as a warrior? Please don't ask, I love that name for a she-cat. It's sort of tough, ya know. xD Should Lilypaw help deliver Hawkkit? Also, I have a design planned for Hawkkit/Hawkflight/whatever.]

Lilypaw nodded. "I know," she murmured. It was always to be a secret what a cat dreamed about, unless it was something very important, like an omen or prophecy. And even then it was to be told only to the other medicine cat of their Clan and no one else. Her dream was a bit sad, but not deathly important- just a very brief conversation about deaths of kits.
She wondered why it was kits who had to die. Kits who had had no training, no apprentice ceremony, no chance to prove themselves to be warriors. No chance to live out their dreams and ambitions.
She suddenly felt a burst of determination. She remembered Poppybloom once again, and how the she-cat was not far from giving birth. She felt like her old kit self again, promising silently to the expectant queen to try the best she could to protect her and the kits from falling too soon into StarClan's hunting grounds. But then again, she might not be allowed at the birth...

Bluestrike dipped his head, expecting such a reply. He watched the others for a moment as they at last all woke up, getting to their paws and speaking quietly to their apprentices/mentors. Then the group meandered away from the Moonpool and began the trek down the stream. Stonecliff took up the lead, and the apprentices mingled together at the rear. Bluestrike padded calmly next to Robindapple, growing silent and thoughtful. Usually the trip back was more solemn than the trip up, due to the messages the medicine cats received.
Cloudpaw trotted next to Lilypaw. "Have a cool dream?" he asked her, knowing she'd only be allowed to reply with a generic answer.

Lilypaw shrugged. She didn't really know what to call the dream other than really depressing. "It was interesting," she murmured. She hoped that wasn't really a bad response- it was only describing her dream in one word, anyway. She grew a bit quieter and narrowed her eyes. Fortunately the rain seemed to be calming down.
Rain slowly drizzled and fell from the dark sky, pattering on the ground and rocks with very soft, quiet tapping sort of sound. Her ears flicked and craned around, searching for sound. Her nose twitched, just double-checking that no cats were lurking around.

Cloudpaw lifted his head and nodded thoughtfully. "Mine too," he murmured quietly, his eyes briefly flickering over her face before gazing off into the woods as they walked. They were still on ThunderClan's side--his territory, so he felt pretty comfortable here. Even though the ground was uncomfortably damp. But at least it wasn't raining as hard as it had been when he and Robindapple had left camp. He glanced upwards, screwing up his face in response to the raindrops that splattered over his muzzle.

The medicine cats continued on in silence until they reached the rocks that RiverClan and WindClan needed to cross. Bluestrike dipped his head to the other four cats, then led the way over the slick stones until he set paws on WindClan land. Marshy, but WindClan nonetheless. The weather seemed to have worn out the traveling cats, as well as the dreams from StarClan. It was quite late, anyway, so that was another factor. Bluestrike waved his tail to Splashfish and Blossompaw as he turned away from the border and headed further into his Clan's territory with Lilypaw.

A while later, Lilypaw entered the medicine cave and yawned quietly. They had finally reached camp and she felt rather tired. Not really hungry; she would pick up something in the morning. She curled up on her nest and yawned again before drifting off into sleep.
Blood spattered on the ground as a small kit tumbled down a pile of sharp, jagged rocks. Lilypaw gasped and tried to run after the kit, but it seemed as if she was being held back by an invisible cat yanking her tail, pulling her back.
A queen's screech sounded, echoing throughout WindClan camp, followed by a stream of blood trickling down the camp like a tiny crimson river.
Lilypaw jolted awake, holding back a cry of terror. She glanced around, eyes wide, then settled her head back down on her paws. That was a strange, and terrifying, dream.

[By the way, this is NOT a dream that means something or is predicting the future. It's just a nightmare she had. She's so afraid of something happening to kits and queens and stuff.]

Bluestrike trudged through the muddy soil of camp as he followed Lilypaw inside the den. It was dark, far past moonhigh, and he was rather tired. He was pretty proud of his apprentice for managing so well through the long and difficult trek through the rain and swamp to the Moonpool. With a small sigh, he watched as she curled in her nest before heading towards his own and settling down. He wrapped his tail close and fell asleep.

Littlepaw stirred under the bush her nest was under, and lifted her head. Opening her dark blue eyes she gazed around. It was early, but a few cats were awake, and it looked like the dawn patrol was about to leave. Bramblestripe, Sparrowpaw, Softcloud were gathering by the camp exit. Littlepaw yawned and slowly got out of her nest. The one positive thing she noticed was that the rain was only a soft drizzle. Perhaps it'd stop today.

Lilypaw shifted slightly. Bluestrike had been asleep when she had jolted awake from that strange dream, and she had drifted off once more. She yawned a little, flattening her ears. She slowly crept out of the cave, smiling slightly to herself when she managed not to wake her mentor. She trotted over to her sister's nest. "Hey," she mewed quietly, keeping her voice down as to not wake any sleeping cats. She stretched, yawning again. She lifted her paw slightly and batted at a small ladybug scuttling across the damp ground, not putting her paw anywhere too close to the minuscule red insect out of fear of harming it by accident. Her eyes followed it as it flew off, probably towards a tree or a shrub to eat. Her ear twitched as she returned her gaze towards her sister.

Littlepaw was sitting next to her nest, still mostly under the bush, when her sister approached. She smiled slightly, ears pricking up. "How'd it go? Are you tired? You got back really late--I saw you come in this morning cuz I woke up to go to the dirtplace. Were the others nice?" she began with a rush of questions, her eyes gleaming as she faced Lilypaw. Licking her muzzle, she shifted her paws a little. "Sorry. Good morning," she added quietly, with an apologetic grin.
