Mbaya flattened her ears and plopped down. She felt a slight prick of jealousy. Why the heck did Jr get so much affection? And his parents didn't hit him...

Jr: I'll leave you two alone.

Jr: Come on Mbaya!

"Sure..." Mbaya said. As they were walking she turned her head and gazed up at him. "I thought all cubs got treated the way I did." Her voice was genuinely curious.

Jr: No...not around here. Especially with my parents.

"Really? That's absurd," Mbaya said. She was a rather small, short, cub, and compared to a full-grown male like Adofo Jr, very tiny. "Is it... just in your parents' nature to treat you... kindly?"
