Warrior Cats Roleplay with Zoketi [Private]

[Sure! Sounds great. So after this patrol, we timeskip a week and Tawnystar goes out on a border "check", not a patrol, with just her and Littlepaw, and then that's when RiverClan attacks. I chose RiverClan so it could stir up some trouble between RiverClan and WindClan. And in the Lake territories, WindClan and RiverClan are separated by a Twolegplace thingy. So I suggest since the flood has been affecting RiverClan the most, WindClan is the only territory that hasn't been flooded. This happens a week afterwards and stuff.]

Lilypaw nodded. "Oh, okay," she meowed. She swished her own tail and sat down. She gazed at the stores of herbs. She wondered why Bluestrike had become a medicine cat. Was it because he didn't want to have to fight against RiverClan? No, that was stupid. Maybe he was like her; not really into the idea of shedding blood of another cat. She flicked her ears. She wondered what else medicine cats did other than heal. Oh, right! Go to the Moonpool; of course, she'd have to be accepted by StarClan themselves before she was able to officially be a medicine cat. She hoped they would accept her. "Why'd you choose to become a medicine cat?" she inquired.

"I think I'll bring Mothheart and Gingersplash," Tawnystar decided. She headed out, leading Littlepaw.
After Mothheart and Gingersplash were following, Tawnystar trotted out onto the territory. "Never trust any cat from another Clan," she murmured to Littlepaw. "No matter how friendly they are, no matter how nice they seem. Because in battle, you may have to meet face-to-face. And you will have to defend WindClan, the other cat will have to defend their Clan. So never form a close friendship with them, it'll only disappoint you."
Tawnystar wasn't really an unfair cat, but she wasn't fond of other cats from different Clans. She was rather neutral, but didn't like trespassers. After all, who did?

[Mmkay.]

He nodded, but didn't continue. Yet, at least. He glanced back to his stores, wondering the best way to instruct her. Well, probably the way his own mentor taught him, really. It'd be easier for Lilypaw, he was sure, since she was younger now than he'd been when he had learned all the herbs. Hearing his apprentice's soft voice chime again, he turned back to her with his ears pricked. "As you might know, I trained as a warrior and earned my warrior name before I became a medicine cat. However...after seeing my mother and sister die of disease, I began to worry over illness harming my Clan--something I couldn't prevent as a warrior. I had a dream not long after, and it guided me towards becoming a medicine cat." he finished, his expression as blank and stern as ever. He recalled all the turmoil in the Clan when he'd told them his decision. The half-Clan taunting had been worse then.

The young apprentice twitched her ears, and bobbed her head. She sprang up and followed her new mentor, tail straight up in the air with excitement. She glanced over to the warriors that Tawnystar had brought, waving her tail first to Mothheart, her aunt, and then nodding to Gingersplash. She remembered that Gingersplash was Shrewpaw's mentor, but guessed she'd left him behind to do other chores or something. It was a comfort to Littlepaw, really. Not that Shrewpaw was too bad. He'd never been the one to call names with Sparrowpaw and Fogpaw. He'd just sit and glare. In fact, Littlepaw had rarely heard him say much of anything, so she was curious as to what he was really like. Did he just tag along with his brother because Fogpaw made him? She shook her head to clear her mind, realizing Tawnystar was speaking to her. "I won't!" she mewed quickly, nodding. She wasn't going to be a medicine cat like Lilypaw, so she couldn't make friends. She lifted her head proudly.

Poor Bluestrike. Lilypaw felt awful. She could slightly infer what happened, most likely the Clan didn't respect his decision. She wanted to go up to every cat who ever made fun of Bluestrike and give them a sharp cuff around the ears. How dare they tease him?! He was a cat, just like the rest of them. He was talented and most likely saved many lives; why should he be the laughing stock? Lilypaw's tail twitched and her face slowly formed into a scowl. She hated the fact that Half-Clan cats were treated so horribly; how exactly was it their fault? It was the parents to blame.
For some strange reason, every time she heard of the Clan and Bluestrike, the thoughts of the teasing he had to endure popped up. She didn't know why.

Tawnystar purred. "Good," she meowed. "Let's go." She didn't want Littlepaw to have to go through what she did- make a good friend from another Clan, then meet them in battle and have to feel bitterly disappointed. "But," she mewed, "that doesn't mean you have to be hostile to every cat you meet that isn't WindClan. You can have a polite conversation with another cat, so long as you don't grow too attached." She didn't want Littlepaw to think what she said was different from what she meant. She wouldn't mind if her apprentice had a neutral conversation with another apprentice in a Gathering or whatnot, but she didn't want Littlepaw to form huge alliances with them.

[lol he didn't actually mention about the teasing but whatever cx]

The tom turned away, facing his herb stores again as he thought. Well, enough backstory, it was time to be a mentor. He let out a soft little huffing noise, and leaned forwards. He reached out a paw and grabbed out another herb--goldenrod. Very common out in the moors. He dropped it down in front of the apprentice, and faced her once more. "Do you remember this one?" he murmured gruffly, licking his muzzle and rubbing his claws against the soil.

Littlepaw waved her tail with pleasure, the ginger-striped tip high with pride. Tagging after the leader, she made sure to focus on everything Tawnystar said. It would be very bad if she zoned out and missed information. Littlepaw was determined to be the best. The best ever. "Alright." she meowed, bobbing her head thoughtfully. She supposed that made sense. It might be interesting to talk to other Clans, weird as they were. But she'd never get close, she told herself that. They were enemies in the end.

[Well, bruh, Half-Clan cats get teased and gossiped about. And Lilypaw can infer. =P]

"Yes," Lilypaw mewed. "Goldenrod is a good herb for making into a poultice and healing wounds." She could remember that one easily. It was one of the first she had ever viewed. She was determined to be a good apprentice. She had to listen in on everything her mentor told her. She flicked out of her thoughts and waited patiently for Bluestrike's response. She hoped she had gotten the answer right- oh, well, it was her first day of training. But over the next few moons she would have to set up a mental schedule for herself- wake up, get something to eat, go visit with her sister if she had time to spare, start training.

Tawnystar purred again. "Well... I don't sense any intruders. Do you smell any stranger scent?" she queried her apprentice. She wanted to make sure that Littlepaw could scent out stranger cats or intruders. She didn't want any unwelcome "guest" coming into her territory. She wondered if she should bring Littlepaw to the Gathering next moon. Perhaps she should, because Littlepaw was her apprentice, the leader's apprentice. She'd obviously have to announce to the Clans. She would decide later.

[ well yeah, but it just seemed kinda random since he said nothing about it xD ]

His eyes gleamed slightly at her easy response. "Precisely." he rumbled, tucking the stalks back with the rest of the herbs and flicking his tail around his paws. His gaze scanning over the store, he then reached and tugged out another herb. One of similar color--marigold. "How about this one?" he meowed, draping it before her white paws and fixing his yellow stare fiercely on her. He had high hopes for this she-cat.

"Is this the border?" Littlepaw peered through the grass. A strange shape lay off in the distance, full of weird smells. Massive animals ran around in an area, trapped by brown walls of stuff. "Whoah. No, I don't scent any strangers." she murmured, a little distracted by all th unfamiliar things. Gingersplash was walking along nearby, marking the border, while Mothheart stood closer, gazing around. Littlepaw shifted her paws and focused her attention on Tawnystar, her blue gaze wide.

[Sorreh.]

Lilypaw pondered for a moment. She flicked her tail. "Marigold prevents infection," she meowed.
She tilted her head. Bluestrike seemed like a smart tom. She wondered how she'd ever learn everything. It seemed quite difficult, having to memorize all the herbs, the names, and their uses, and whether they were eaten, chewed, or made into poultices. She had also thought that she'd never become as good as him. Oh, well- she could always try.

"Good," Tawnystar purred. She gazed through the grass. Nobody was there, except for her patrol. She flicked her tail. "We should get back to camp," she rumbled. "It's about to rain." She gazed up at the grey clouds that were drifting above them. Small drops of rain splattered on her nose. She flicked her tail again and started heading back, hurrying Littlepaw ahead of her. Tawnystar had worries; WindClan was on a hill. They weren't necessarily dry but they weren't suffering too much damage from the rain, since it couldn't easily flood. What if some other cat tried to steal prey? She narrowed her eyes. No, it was stupid nonsense. RiverClan didn't eat rabbits or mice. And after all, ThunderClan was oh-so honorable, they would never, ever steal.

[Yas, sorry, had to add that last part. Tawnystar ain't fond of ThundieClannie. =P]

[-patpat- it's fine cx I'm just being nitpicky, so really, I should apologize. ^^" ]

He nodded slowly. "That, and it also stops bleeding, and is used for inflammation of stiff joints." he finished with a flick of his tail. He was doing mostly an overview right now, of herbs he'd told her a few times before. Bluestrike tucked the marigold away in the crevice it belonged to, then searched over the stores yet again. Pulling out a long leaf of rush, he set that before Lilypaw. "And this?"

Littlepaw glanced quickly around again, then nodded. The other she-cats hurried towards them, coming back into a typical patrol formation, and padding next to and slightly behind the leader and her apprentice. Littlepaw tagged close to Tawnystar, wrinkling her nose as she felt little droplets of rain begin to splash down on her white pelt. She knew they'd all want to get to camp and shelter as quickly as they could, being WindClan. The young apprentice glanced once more over the territory, towards the lake, and as far as she could see. It was a huge amount of land, and she wondered if she'd ever see it all.

[It's okie. I'm used to that. =P]

"Rush binds broken limbs," she mewed. She couldn't remember any other use; if it had any other use. Was it helpful for sprains too? She flicked her tail and her ears. She hoped that Bluestrike trusted her with herbs. After the lesson was over, she'd ask her questions, like how to tell the difference between poppy and foxglove. She never wanted to be responsible for the death of a cat because she caused them heart failure when all she wanted was to help them go to sleep.

Finally Tawnystar and the others reached camp. "Get into the apprentice's den," she meowed to Littlepaw. She headed inside of her den. She curled up on her nest. Littlepaw seemed like a pretty good apprentice in her opinion. She smiled, thinking she had made a good decision. She gazed out and watched Littlepaw.

[Omg stalker. XD And shall we timeskip to the next-week-Moonpool-border-clash-with-RivieClan-and-WindyClan?]

[ouo And sure. After this post, cuz I'm lazy and my muse is dying. Plus I need to go to bed soon cuz I hafta get up early.]

Bluestrike's ears twitched and he nodded slowly. "Correct." He tucked the rush back in its proper place before turning back to the she-cat. "That's it for the moment, but I'll need you back here later to continue. Go get something to eat." he meowed, swishing his tail and giving Lilypaw another nod.

Littlepaw was glad to be back. She shook her fur and scurried towards the apprentices' den after Tawnystar spoke, giving her mentor a last glance. She sniffed as she entered, realizing she'd not yet been in here since she'd explored as a kit. She found a nest that seemed unused and settled down with a sigh.
