Warrior Cats Roleplay with Zoketi [Private]

Lilypaw purred. She flicked her short tail and her ears.
After a long while, after Scorchblaze and Whitedeer had gone away, Lilypaw turned to Littlepaw. "Beetlepaw is a good cat," she remarked out of nowhere. It was true; he was obedient to his mentor, and he was fair and just. He believed in honesty and the truth. And Lilypaw was being honest and truthful to her words when she said Beetlepaw was a good tom.
She wondered if Beetlepaw and Littlepaw were good friends; Lilypaw and Beetlepaw were not necessarily "the best of friends" but they were on good terms. They respected each other and were rather friendly in their conversations. Other than Bluestrike and Littlepaw, Beetlepaw was one of the very few cats Lilypaw could be herself around.

Littlepaw sat down with a thump as the Clan dispersed and cats returned to their usual routine duties. She glanced towards where Tawnystar had gone, wondering if the she-cat would give her instructions, but then shrugged. Perhaps she was waiting for tomorrow to start. Though of course Littlepaw would have been quite happy to go now. She'd seen Bramblestripe take Sparrowpaw out of camp, and was rather jealous. She shook her thoughts away when she heard her sister speak. A little random, but it was a conversation starter, she supposed. She nodded slowly. "Yeah, he's nice." she murmured, twitching an ear. And he was. He'd been a friend to both she-kits; as they could relate a little.

"I'm glad that Tawnystar chose to mentor you," Lilypaw purred. "It's an honour to be mentored by the leader. And you deserve to be her apprentice!"
She sat by her sister. She hoped that Littlepaw became a great warrior: courageous, loyal, patient, strong... She hoped Littlepaw would learn how to hunt and fight, how to track prey and knock rival cats off of their paws. But she also hoped Littlepaw would never have to kill another cat. She would understand if it was in self-defense, though.
However, she refused to say her thoughts aloud. Littlepaw would be an honorable warrior. She was sure of it.
Musing to herself silently in her own little camp of thoughts, Lilypaw rocked back and forth on her paws. She had taken a vow to never have kits or have a mate, which she was fine with. After all, it didn't matter, she never had had any dream to have a mate or kits. She would be able to be friends with the cats of other Clans, too- she always hated the idea of having to injure another cat.
Lilypaw's personal detestation of hurting another cat physically in a battle, along with her massive fascination of herbs and healing, was what made her decide she wanted to be a medicine cat.

The young she-cat blinked happily, quite honestly ecstatic with the choice of her mentor. "I am too. I can't quite believe Tawnystar herself is gonna mentor me..." she sighed, lifting her dark blue gaze to the sky, which was grey and cloudy and seemed to hold the promise of more rain. Littlepaw narrowed her eyes at the thought. She hoped she'd be able to go out of camp soon, before the rain inevitably began again. At least, though, they'd gotten the ceremony done. She was quite glad of that.
The mostly-white apprentice turned back to Lilypaw, her eyes calm once more.

"I hope Blossompaw isn't too mean," Lilypaw remarked, wrinkling her nose. Beetlepaw had told her, when he came home from a Gathering, that Blossompaw had been quite nasty, making sarcastic remarks about his size and calling him "Teeny Beetlepaw".
Blossompaw did have a pretty bad reputation for being rather mean and sometimes even cruel with her wry teasing. But she was also rather intelligent and clever; which was why Lilypaw felt bad that every cat overlooked the good qualities that Blossompaw had and instead focused on her main traits.
Bluestrike had also told stories of being snapped at by the she-cat. Lilypaw hoped Blossompaw wouldn't be aggressive to her.

The question surprised Littlepaw for a moment, for she had to adjust her train of thought into a different one. Lilypaw was talking about RiverClan's medicine cat apprentice again. Tilting her head at her sister, Littlepaw swung her tail around and rested it against her littermate's white fur. "Don't worry. Bluestrike'll watch out for you. Just ignore her if she is." The young she-cat meowed, hoping Lilypaw wasn't too worried about a rival Clan's medicine cat apprentice. Though she had a feeling Blossompaw wouldn't be nice to her sister, she hoped it wouldn't stress Lilypaw out too much. She could learn to ignore teasing, as they sort of had to do because of Sparrowpaw.

Littlepaw kneaded her paws gently against the ground. "I should probably go see if Tawnystar's willing to take me out in the territory. Maybe you should check in on Bluestrike." she murmured, leaning forwards as if preparing to stand up.

"All right," Lilypaw agreed. She nuzzled her sister. "I'll see you later." She bounced off to the medicine den. "Bluestrike?" she mewed. "Is there anything I can do to help you right now?" She pushed away the thoughts of Blossompaw. At the next Gathering, maybe, just maybe, she'd be allowed to go and meet the other apprentices. She sure hoped she would; but then again, she had just become a medicine apprentice. She might have to wait; which she didn't mind doing.

Tawnystar lifted her head as she saw Littlepaw approach. "Hello," she greeted warmly. She was sitting in the clearing by her den, chewing a plump rabbit. "What do you need?" Her voice was friendly and her gaze kind. Her tail was flicking as she anticipated Littlepaw's answer or question. She also guess Littlepaw would be a good apprentice; the newly-named Littlepaw was well-behaved and kind, and Tawnystar could only guess that Littlepaw would be eager to learn things; how to hunt, fight... and clean out the elder's den.

A familiar voice alerted the blue-grey tabby medicine cat, and he swung around to see his newly-named apprentice Lilypaw. His ears pricking, he shook away the remnants of his thoughts and faced her fully. "There is, actually. You know some of my herbs already, but seeing as you're officially my apprentice, it's the prime time to start teaching you the rest of them." he began, beckoning with his thick tail. He turned and reached a paw towards his stores, pulling out a clump of feverfew, a common herb used for helping lower chills and fevers. "What's this?" he asked, tossing the clump towards the petite female.

Littlepaw nodded a goodbye to her sister, then sprang to her paws and gave her short white coat a quick shake. Turning her head, she spotted the leader nearby, busy eating. She was cautious at first, not really wanting to disturb Tawnystar. However, she'd already gone this far, so she continued on. When the leader noticed her and greeted her, Littlepaw paused, shifting her small paws on the soil a little awkwardly. She was quite relieved that her mentor was a very nice cat. "I was just, wondering...if you were planning on doing anything with me today." she mewed softly, her gaze darting to the ground and then back up again. She wanted to get out of camp before more rain came, as the sky seemed to promise another shower sometime soon.

"It's... uh..." It took Lilypaw a minute. She flicked her tail a minute. "I think... fevers."
She didn't really remember, but she could remember just a few of the herbs by their smells. But she had a lot of trouble telling apart foxglove and poppy, which frustrated her. Her fur pricked and her tail flicked. Her eyes were widened as she tilted her head at Bluestrike. She really hoped that she got it right.
Lilypaw shuffled her paws and swished her tail over the ground, silently urging herself. Was she right? Was she wrong? And if she was wrong, what was the right answer?

"Hmm... I think I can take you around the territory," Tawnystar meowed. She smiled at Littlepaw. "And we can do a border patrol. However, since you have not learned any fighting moves, if an enemy Clan like RiverClan or ShadowClan or ThunderClan decided to attack us, you are not to fight, and you are to run back to camp, fast as you can, and get help. Understood?" Her voice was gentle and kind.
Tawnystar flicked her tail. She didn't want an apprentice as young, and as small, as Littlepaw getting injured on her first day of apprenticeship. She knew how battle-hungry some of the apprentices were, thanks to their vicious mentors. Tawnystar finished her rabbit and waited for Littlepaw's response.

[I think that on this patrol... RiverClan decides to attack.]

[Should they be stealing prey? It only rained for two days-ish, so I'm not sure that'd cause too many issues yet. We can do a skip of like a week soon, and pretend it rained all during that time and really started the flood. Plus, I was thinking Blue would take Lily to the Moonpool in about a quarter-moon (a week) and that'd be even more dangerous during a flood.]

The tom wrapped his tail close as he waited for a reply. Tilting his head, he gazed down at her, watching her struggle to find the right answer. "Close." he murmured, seeing she'd given up after the first try. "It's feverfew. But, it does help lower fevers when eaten. It can also help with aches, especially headaches." he told her, reciting off his memory. It was one of the first few herbs he'd learned himself, so he easily recalled what it did. Of course, he had a strong memory, which was necessary as a medicine cat.

The young apprentice's eyes widened with excitement. She nodded quickly, instantly agreeing. "Yes!" she mewed, kneading her paws against the ground. Then she shook herself, forcing herself not to act like a kit anymore. Smoothing her fur, she lifted her head and met Tawnystar's gaze. "I understand." she added, dipping her head more slowly. "Is it just going to be us? Or are you bringing others?" she queried after a moment. Since the leader had mentioned a patrol, she was wondering if they were bringing more cats as well, since patrols usually consisted of three to four cats. But either way, she was just glad to be going out to see the territory for the first time.
