Right, now, I'm really concerned about the voice actors...If they hire Edward Hibbert to do the voice of Zazu...It'll be the death of them.

Envision this if you want, but Kion is not the cub from the end of the first movie (neither is Kopa, for that matter). Kiara is confirmed to appear as Kion's older sister and the heir to the throne... so Kion could not have been the cub from the end of the first film.

Actually at the end of the first film we are to assume that the cub shown was the first born; however it is possible that the scene at the end of TLK 1 could have been Kion's birth instead of Kiara. I actually think this explanation would explain why the two birth scenes from the end of TLK 1 and begining of TLK 2 were different. I mean sure you don't see Kiara at the end of TLK 1, but it could be explained that she was indeed absent, similar to Scar being absent in the first film, or away during the birth scene. Though this can't really be seen as canon until it's said officially. Though I do recall the writters or film makers, don't know for sure, calling the cub born in the first movie to be Fluffy.

The end of the first movie comes before the second movie. That cub was purely symbolic, and besides that, Simba and Nala look older during SP. So the cub from the first movie can't be a younger sibling of Kiara.

Also we don't know if The Presentation Ceremony we saw in Lion King and Lion King 2 applies to every Royal Cub or just to The Heirs to the Throne. It could be that Kion never even had a presentation.

Disappointing but not unexpected, after all Matthew Broderick and Moira Kelly have not voiced Simba And Nala outside of a Lion King movie.

Nathan Lane only did Timon's voice in a few episodes of Timon and Pumbaa.

Kiara has never had an appearance outside of Lion King 2 so Nev Campbell not wanting to return to voice Kiara... Is actually quite disappointing being that she is still willing to do T.V. shows

I can't imagine Disney finding someone to replace Robert Guillaume as Rafiki since he has voiced Rafiki in every animated Appearance

Also anyone other than James Earl Jones voicing Mufasa is absolutely unthinkable. I doubt Disney would try to replace him (Unless Mufasa appears as a younger lion in a flashback).

Kovu is not mentioned as appearing in the series, but I can't see him being left out. I also can't imagine Jason Marsden not doing Kovu's voice as he still does Voice-overs for T.V. Series.

Sadly I believe that Vitani could all too easily be left out of of this show. That really breaks my heart I love Vitani and she is so underused as it is.

On a brighter note we need to remember (as my sister pointed out) that the characters we know and love are likely only going to make periodical guest appearances on the show, so we shouldn't expect a guest star on every episode. Especially since the focus of the series will be on Kion and his team. It could also be that the production budget is not big enough to be able to afford the bigger name talent for what could be just a cameo here and there.

i really love the lion king i watched all 3 movies and still watch them once a weak i seen all the episoeds of timon and pumbaa but they never keep that show on so when lion guard comes out i will tape it and keep it just in case

That´s the spirit... But it´s probably (and sadly) true... Disney just doesn´t care anymore with the classics, they just want to fill their pockets...
