You know what I really hate? Games never, ever, ever have proper units of measurement. And I don't get it. That information is so easy to retrieve, and it's so easy to make everything to scale. Yet, no game ever has a proper scale. Never.
A sniper rifle has an effective range of up to 1km, not 100m. A normal walking speed is 1m/s, and a normal running speed is like 3x that. The island of Cuba is more than just 10km from one side to the other. It's 1200km. You should be able to see more than 500m in front of you. Just standing on the ground, the horizon is about 4.5km away. At a height of 20m, the horizon is 16km away. But no game ever simulates that properly.
