(Is Gamba trying to protect him from Hondo or or Bali. Also they are also tied up. How else have they not attacked him yet?!)

Adofo was thinking "My son.....my boy.......I've lost him........he'll never love me again.

[Iri]

[Hmm? BOTH Gamba and Hondo are protecting him from Bali, you know.]

Hondo's expression was one of determination and firmness. He was angry with his father, but he was determined to protect him. His teeth were bared aggressively and his eyes were blazing with hostility and protectiveness. Gamba's expression was the same: fierce, firm, defensive... Both of them may have been tied but they managed to sit up.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Boys......I'm sorry......if I don't make it out of this.....please know I love you both! And if you too make it out.....Tell your brothers and sisters that I love them too! And your mother......your mother.............please tell her I'll always be with her! Every day until she passes on, I'll be standing right beside her! I know what you want to say, "DON'T TALK LIKE THAT!".....but if it does come to that....please promise me......promise me you'll do what I told you!

[Iri]

Hondo growled. "Fine. But you do realize you're being absolutely ridiculous. I know what you want to say: 'Oh, it's going to happen'. Well, keep yourself quiet, for once, and you'll see what does happen."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Hondo......I'm sorry you've come to hate me...ever since you left.....you haven't been the same! We got along all the time.....we were always close.....but since you left home.....you've become your own man...just....a man who doesn't need or want his father anymore. I just miss my son...even though.....he's long gone.

[Iri]

"Of course you say I hate you.. is hate your favorite word?" Hondo said. "I don't doubt it is. In case you didn't know the difference between hate and anger, anger is a brief feeling of unhappy emotion. Hate is when you purely despise something or someone. And do I hate you? No. Am I angry? Yes. And before you go 'oh, yeah right, you do hate me, oh no', thanks but no thanks, I know what MY emotions are like, I can tell the difference between whether I feel hate or anger. And right now it is anger, it was never hate, unlike what you think."

[Adofo]

Adofo: .....then why did you try to kill me that night.....to help someone you just met...over your own father. I tried to get you to stop but....you kept going.....and then.....you gave me this.
He scooted up on the rocks so his shirt would be pulled down some. Going down his neck were some claw marks.
Adofo: .....that's right.....these are from you. I looked into your eyes.....you were willing to kill me..........that's what hurt most of all.....the hate in your eyes......You were going to kill me if Bali hadn't spilled his plan.
His voice wasn't angry. More hurt and sad.

[Iri]

Hondo snorted "Then YOU hate us. We were brainwashed, we apologized, you 'forgave' us, ha ha, oh, wait, you only wanted us back. You lied to us. Leave us alone. Do you know what you did to Gamba? Show him, Gamba."
Gamba glared at Adofo and struggled to lift up a part of his mane. Under his mane there was a huge gash that was only starting to heal, caused from Adofo's gloves or his machete.
"I wouldn't be talking!" Gamba said, wincing from the large gash.

[And no, neither Hondo NOR Gamba gave Adofo ANYMORE wounds.]

[Adofo]

Adofo: ........I'm sorry......just run and leave me. It's all I deserve. I've never deserved you or your mother a day in my life. She's an angel.....you two are her little miracles.......but what about me?! .....I don't know anything about me.......just go when you get the chance.

[Iri]

"Wow. You think we're cruel, don't you?" Hondo said. "I'm sorry. You attacked me, Father, I had to defend myself before you killed me. You just think we're horrid, cruel monsters, and-"
Suddenly Hondo heard a yowl; Yuna's yowl. Yuna and Ajabu, though Ajabu was due any day, had come. Yuna attacked Bali and Ajabu rammed some of the rocks aside. She rushed in and started to carefully snap the vines that were tying them together: She freed Adofo first. "Run! Run!" she yelled. "Don't look back, just run!" She shoved them all ahead and Yuna drove Bali back.
