A few days later, Adofo went to apologize to his sons.
Adofo: Boys.....can I please talk to you?

[Iri]

"TRESPASSER!" Hondo growled. He wasn't lying; Adofo had ventured far into their territory.
"You know the penalty," Gamba said. "The alliance is broken; that means you cannot just waltz around like you own the place."
"However, since we are forgiving," Hondo said smoothly, "we will let you off this one time. But I warn you, do not take our forgiveness for granted. Next time we will not let any trespasser off so easily. Now speak." He and Gamba sat down.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Boys......I'm sorry. From the bottom of my heart I'm sorry. I'm not saying this as a Vice King or even as a man......I'm saying it as your father. I'm sorry I tried to control you. It was wrong. I was wrong. I understand if you can never forgive me.....I don't blame you. I just hope you can understand. I love you both. I have since I fell in love with your mother. Every second of every day, I've only thought of you as my own! Not as my step sons....but as my sons. But I get it if you no longer feel the same way.

Hondo and Gamba looked at each other and sighed.
"We were brainwashed by Moyo- I mean, Bali. And nobody but you, Yekize, Iri, and Chiku forgive us. Even our own siblings hate us, I could tell. We forgive you.. but they won't ever forgive us," Hondo said.

[Adofo]

Adofo: I can talk to them. After some time....they'll forgive you. But....can you find it in your hearts....to give your old man a hug?

[Iri]

Hondo and Gamba nuzzled him.
"We're sorry," Hondo murmured. "We truly are."
Ajabu nodded, her large, mouse-like ears flattened with shame. Yuna looked the same way.

[Adofo]

Adofo: I love you boys! I always have.....and I always will! .......you wanna share a meal? We can go hunt together....like old times

[Iri]

"Sure," Hondo said. He headed out.
