Just dropped my little Lightning off for her eye operation. I got a little teary as I left her in there because there is only a 2/3 chance that she will survive this, if not she will have to be put down. It's going to be a long night/day for me tonight and tomorrow. I would like to say, anyone who is looking to buy a rat NEVER buy them if they have been put on shavings or from small pet shops. All mine that I have had health issues with have all been on shavings or have come from people who are irresponsible breeders. As youngsters, being on dusty bedding, it weakens their lungs so later on they start getting health problems. And alot of rats sold at small pet shops are accidental litters so could have parents that were brother and sister, again resulting in bad genes. I am up to a total vet bill of Lightning of £350 now because she has had many problems. Don't get me wrong, I love her to bits and would pay anything for her, but to all who plan on buying rats... Be careful where you get them from.

I'm sorry to hear that...I know what it's like to lose a pet. :( The best thing to do is to remember that if the pet is put down, she won't suffer. It'll be painless to her and in time, you will adjust. :) It took me awhile to adjust for my pet's lost...but...It's possible. :D

Okay, I'm a chapter and a half behind in statistics, and I have three assignments to work on. Today is going to be fun. Looks like I'm gonna need that second cup of coffee.

Hmm... well, I guess I'm a theoretical physicist, too. Theoretically, I could be a physicist.
