I think Hakuna Matata is the best motto evah! I wish I could have been in the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa too. Ahh, perfect life that would be. :happythoughts:
Aside from the fact you’d be living off bugs. 8-)

Personally I don't think "no worries" is a good motto in life. Running away from problems and not solving them, how can that be any good? It's not what a child should learn.
I understand that Simba is recognized as a fellow outcast by Timon and Pumbaa, and beeing a cub he takes the things Timon and Pumbaa tell him for granted, since he has not really another choice.. but for me Timon and Pumbaa are just a bunch of useless clowns....for a cartoon series or comic characters in the "Donald Duck" they would have been just fine, but I think they could have been left out of the movie.
There's Ed, the funny hyena, there's Rafiki (personally he makes me LMAO with his ninja skills and his weird behaviour all the time) Zazu has his funny habits too.... So that's enough LOL in one movie, right?

In Simba's Pride you have Nuka for a comic relief, so why didn't they just keep T&P just out of that movie? But that's my opinion, *rant rant humbug* ;)

Yes, Timon and Pumbaas attitude of "no rules, no obligations, no worries" is definatly not one a future King should follow.

Though I’m not really a fan of these two, I think they were allright in TLK, but extremly annoying and exhausting in SP. They were given a way too big role in the sequel. There was a bit of an overload of comic relief in that one, since (as thanigraphics pointed out) you have Nuka and Zazu as well.
I know SP was a much darker movie, so it "needed" more comedy, especially from T&P as they bring humour into the most darkest and most serious scenes to take the edge off it for the sake of the youngest kids.
But I think T&P are just purely annoying and too much in that film. :headache:

I agree with Princess Kiara in that.... without them, I think the movies would have also attracted more older fans :)
Btw, did you guys know that Timon has a girlfriends and a group of friends in the magazine "Hakuna matata?" Even Pumbaa made some warthog friends and a warthog girlfriend (really well designed in TLK style, really fun to see!)

Aww Pumbaas girlfriend looks so cute! It’s nice to see an official Disney drawing of a female warthog.
What’s her name? Is that mentioned in the book?
