Adofo: Honey.....go tell Hondo.....he can leave.

[Iri]

Yekize looked shocked. She sighed and headed outside, talking to Hondo. Hondo nodded and sighed. Gamba followed him.
"Goodbye, Mother," Hondo said.
"Goodbye," Gamba said.
"Tell Father we love him with all our hearts... and tell him we'll miss him," Hondo said sadly. Gamba and Hondo nuzzled Yekize and headed away. Yekize went back into the cave and covered her face with her paws.

[Adofo]

Adofo started to cry and finally sprinted after his son.
Adofo: HONDO!!!!!! HONDO WAIT!!!!!!!
He rammed into him and wrapped his arms tightly around his son. In just a few seconds he drowned his son's shoulder with tears.
Adofo: B-bye.....s-son..........i......i....i...l-l-love you.....please.....please visit often.....

[Iri]

Hondo nuzzled him. "I love you, Father. I'll visit you every day, as soon as I can." He took Adofo's hand with his paw. "I promise."

[Adofo]

Adofo gave his a really long kiss on his cheek.
Adofo: Bye son.....you're.....making your old man very proud! .......I'll miss you every second of everyday!

[Iri]

Gamba, who had been following Hondo, stepped forward and nuzzled Adofo.
"Goodbye, Father," they said together.

[Adofo]

Adofo: .......bye.....
He turned and walked back to priderock with his head down low.

[Gamba is Hondo's brother. He's also an adult. Usually in a pride two to four males can lead the pride, so Gamba and Hondo will lead together.]

Yekize was crying in the cave. She never thought she'd have to let her own sons leave.

[Adofo]

Without a word except the sound of his crying, Adofo curled up with his mate.

[Iri]

Yekize laid her head on his shoulder. Iri and Chiku were curled up. They seemed to be able to understand why their brothers left, but they were still sad and grief-stricken about it.
Two days later, Gamba and Hondo came back to Pride Rock.
"Father! We came to visit!" Hondo called.
