Adofo: You know...I've never spent time with him just the two of us. I have with everyone else but...I just can't help but feel just a little hurt. But...whatever makes him happy.

[Iri]

"He's distant from me too," Yekize said, sighing. "Let's head back."

[Adofo]

Adofo: ...okay.
They head back into the den and lay down.
Adofo: Do you think.....maybe deep down, in addition to wanting to be alone, Hondo just doesn't want to spend time with us?

[Iri]

"He's a grown lion. I think he believes that he should have left. Not because he doesn't love you, but because it's his instinct that tells him to leave and form his own pride and all that," Yekize said.

[Adofo]

Adofo: But.....I don't want him to leave.....he's our little boy! No matter how old he gets! .....I'm sorry, I'm just.....just worried about him. What exactly, I don't know. But.....something.

[Iri]

"He feels distant only because of his instincts to create his own pride," Yekize said. "Nothing else, I promise."

[Adofo]

Adofo: ........is it wrong to make him stay?

[Iri]

"I'm not sure," Yekize said. "I just don't know."

Adofo faked sleeping but really he was just thinking what he was putting his son through by making him stay.

Hondo was restlessly snarling at a random tree outside, his instincts urging him to go on, find a mate, and start a pride. He didn't know why. He clawed at the ground and snarled.
