Adofo: It's okay! It's okay! Mommy and daddy are here!
He picked her up and they ran back home. When they got inside Adofo threw off his clothes and put them into a pile and put her in if.
Adofo: Honey, curl around her to keep her warm! I'll start a fire with the wood I've been saving.

[Iri]

"No, don't!" Yekize pleaded. "She might get burned. She'll be warm enough here. Stay with me. Please." She curled gently around her cub and licked the cold snow off of her pelt. Yatuki squirmed and wailed.

[Adofo]

Adofo curled around his cub and mate.

[Iri]

All of their four sons were curled next to their sister, as if they too were trying to warm her.
Tears slowly streamed down Yekize's face, but she tried to hide it.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Hey....its okay.

[Iri]

"I'm just angry that my father would do such a thing," Yekize said.

[Adofo]

Adofo: You couldn't have known...she's safe.

[Iri]

"Yatuki should be safe," Yekize whispered. She nuzzled her daughter. One of Yatuji's ear tips was frostbitten.

[It's like what happened to my cat in real life. She got stuck outside and her ear tip got frostbitten.]

[Adofo]

Adofo: We'd better get Arida to look at it.

(Aww! :'( )

[Iri]

[She's okay. And then the vet cut off her OTHER ear tip. So her nickname is "funky-ears".]

Arida came in, hearing them. Her tail was quivering from the cold but she checked up on Yatuki. "I'm sorry. She's going to lose this ear tip. It's nothing major, but it might bleed. So keep these with you." She nudged some herbs that were supposed to stop bleeding toward them.
