He curls up around her and the cubs and falls asleep.

Yekize smiled and fell asleep.
The next morning, Yatuki was missing.

[Is it still winter? Because I was thinking Jabhar took her and put her out in the snow, hoping Yatuki would freeze.]

"Put your warm clothes on," Yekize said. "It's not cold enough for you to freeze. But put on your zebra-fur clothes and your gloves and your hat and your shoes." Yekize was struggling to stay calm but tears were soaking the fur around her eyes.

He quickly threw on his clothes and they headed out. They saw prints in the snow leading away from priderock.
