That is one thing that concerned me, but from what has been revealed of the Premiss, I doubt Kion or his team will be breaking the fourth wall. It wouldn't be true to the spirit of the movies, which I'm hoping/guessing Disney will want to stay true to. Given that they seemingly want to place this series within the same continuity as the movies.

Hope you're right, the people should make the series real enough to be considered canon.

I think/hope that is their intention given that they have all but said that this series takes place after Lion King 2: Simba's Pride

We know that Mufasa was confirmed to appear in some episode of this series. I wonder if Scar will appear in this series too 
? It will be interesting if they made some episodes about Mufasa and Scar's past like in TLKSNA books! It will be also interesting to see their parents in those episodes (with different names instead of Ahadi and Uru because TLKNA is semi-canon 
)!
