Adofo: Is there anything else you can tell me?

[Iri]

"Yes, sir," Sagira said. "But first... who is this?" She looked kindly at Ua.

[Adofo]

Adofo: My daughter. Ua.

[Iri]

Ua smelled hyena scent and whimpered.
"Anyway, sir," Sagira went on, "I just realized... none of your cubs are safe."

[Adofo]

Adofo: What do you mean?!

[Iri]

"My comrades want to steal as many of them as possible," Sagira said. "I'm so sorry. Mainly the younger ones, the ones that are just starting to grow into adolescents, or younger. I will be present at the battle, but I will be fighting on your side."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Is there anything I can do!?

[Iri]

"No. They will attack all of your young cubs," Sagira said. "Trust me. I will fight on your side." She used one of her claws to cut a mark on her leg. "This is the mark of promises," she told him. "I must go now."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Thank you! Ua, daddy promises, I won't let them take you or any of your siblings away! Lets get back home.

[Iri]

Sagira nodded to him in farewell and ran back to her home.
"I can't believe a hyena is doing that for us," Machui said to Adofo as he and Ua got home.
